For India buyers, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G has the stronger listed hardware for screen size, refresh rate, battery capacity and wired charging, while the OPPO Reno14 5G has a dedicated 50MP 3.5x telephoto camera. A 91mobiles comparison snapshot showed the Motorola at ₹39,999 and the Reno14 at ₹44,999—a ₹5,000 gap in Motorola’s favor—but those are changeable listing prices, not guaranteed prices or confirmed like-for-like configurations.
Price difference: Motorola was listed ₹5,000 lower
In 91mobiles’ India comparison snapshot, accessed October 7, 2026, the OPPO Reno14 5G was listed at ₹44,999 and the Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G at ₹39,999. These are dynamic listing prices, not fixed manufacturer prices; seller, stock, offers and memory configuration can change the amount you pay. Check the comparison listing and confirm the exact variant and seller before buying.
For context, OPPO India announced the Reno14 at launch in three configurations: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage for ₹37,999, 12GB with 256GB for ₹39,999, and 12GB with 512GB for ₹42,999. Those launch prices are separate from the later comparison-page snapshot. Motorola’s specification page lists the Edge 70 Pro with 256GB storage and either 8GB or 12GB RAM, but does not establish a matching price for each configuration.

Performance: the Motorola has the higher-tier listed chip
OPPO specifies a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8350 for Reno14; Motorola lists a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme for the Edge 70 Pro. The chipset names put Motorola’s processor in the higher tier on paper, but they do not by themselves predict how a particular app, game or workload will perform.
91mobiles reports AnTuTu scores of 1,405,935 for Reno14 and 2,194,258 for the Edge 70 Pro. These are publisher-reported comparison results, not a guarantee of performance on every unit or under every software version and test condition. Treat them as one benchmark result rather than a universal speed rating.

Display: larger and faster on the Edge 70 Pro
The Edge 70 Pro’s 6.8-inch panel is larger than Reno14’s 6.59-inch display, and its refresh rate is listed as up to 144Hz versus 120Hz. That makes Motorola the paper choice for shoppers who prioritize a larger viewing area or a higher maximum refresh rate. Actual refresh behavior can depend on the content and settings.
Motorola also lists a 2772 × 1272 resolution, HDR10+ and peak brightness of 5,200 nits. The brightness figure is the manufacturer’s specification, not a matched independent lab measurement in the cited sources. OPPO lists Reno14 as FHD+ OLED/LTPS OLED at 120Hz.

Cameras: choose between optical reach and ultra-wide detail on paper
Reno14 has a dedicated 50MP 3.5x telephoto camera, and OPPO promotes lossless 3.5x zoom. That makes it the clearer fit if you want a separate telephoto lens for framing distant subjects. Motorola’s listed rear setup consists of a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 50MP autofocus ultra-wide that also supports macro; the specification does not list a telephoto camera.
Motorola therefore has the higher-resolution ultra-wide specification, while Reno14 has the dedicated telephoto advantage. Megapixel counts do not establish which phone takes better photographs overall, and the available specifications do not provide a controlled camera-quality comparison.

Battery and charging: higher stated capacity and wattage for Motorola
Motorola lists a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery and 90W TurboPower wired charging. OPPO lists Reno14 with a 6,000mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOC charging. These manufacturer figures give the Edge 70 Pro the advantage in stated capacity and charging wattage, but do not prove longer runtime or a particular charge time. Usage, settings, temperature and charging conditions affect results.

The cited specification pages establish charging standards, but not whether the required charging equipment is included in every retail package. Check the box contents for the exact market and seller.
Durability and software support
OPPO’s Reno14 product page lists Gorilla Glass 7i and IP68/IP69 ratings. Motorola lists Gorilla Glass 7i, IP68/IP69 protection and MIL-STD 810H. Water- and dust-resistance ratings do not make either phone damage-proof or establish that underwater damage is covered by warranty; review the manufacturer’s terms for the relevant country and model.
The update claims are not directly equivalent. 91mobiles says Reno14 receives five years of OS updates and six years of security updates, while Motorola’s specification page says “Up to 3 years” for OS upgrade plus security patches. Because the statements may use different definitions, they do not support a definitive longevity ranking without confirmation of each phone’s current regional support policy.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose Reno14 if: a dedicated 3.5x telephoto camera matters more to you, you prefer its smaller 6.59-inch display, or you want the choice of OPPO’s announced 128GB, 256GB and 512GB launch configurations.
- Choose the Edge 70 Pro if: you want a larger display with up to 144Hz refresh, the higher stated battery capacity and charging rate, or the lower price shown in the cited comparison snapshot.
Before placing an order, verify the current price, exact RAM and storage variant, seller and stock. Also check regional network-band compatibility, the current software-support terms and package contents. The prices cited here are India-specific; availability, variants and terms can differ in other regions.
