For India buyers, the Find X9 is the higher-tier, larger-screen option with a 512GB configuration; the Reno16 5G stands out for its 50MP front camera and 3.5x optical telephoto, and had a lower dated price. These are not identical tiers, and the price figures below come from different dates. This comparison covers only the India models: Find X9 CPH2797 and Reno16 5G CPH2865.

Which phone has the stronger performance hardware?
OPPO lists a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 in the Find X9 and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 in the Reno16. The Find X9 therefore has the higher-tier named chipset on paper. That distinction is useful if chipset tier is a priority, but it does not establish how much faster one phone feels in everyday use, gaming, or sustained workloads. The available figures do not provide a comparable independent test of the two models.

The Find X9 has the larger listed display at 6.59 inches, compared with 6.32 inches on the Reno16. Both are AMOLED panels with a stated refresh rate of up to 120Hz and FHD+ resolution. Choose based on whether you prefer more screen area or a smaller listed panel; the specifications alone do not establish which display looks better.

Which camera setup suits your priorities?
Choose Find X9 for a three-camera 50MP rear array
The Find X9 has 50MP wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto rear cameras, with optical image stabilisation listed for the wide and telephoto cameras, plus a 2MP monochrome sensor. Its front camera is 32MP.
Choose Reno16 for a 50MP wide selfie camera and 3.5x telephoto
The Reno16 has three 50MP rear cameras, including a 3.5x optical telephoto and a 116° ultra-wide camera. Its 50MP front camera has a 100° field of view and autofocus. Those figures make the selfie camera and optical zoom prominent specification differences, but megapixels and zoom specifications do not by themselves prove better image quality.

Battery capacity and charging: what the numbers do—and do not—show
OPPO lists the Find X9 at 7,025mAh and the Reno16 at 6,700mAh typical capacity (6,490mAh rated). Both support up to 80W SUPERVOOC charging according to the cited India specifications and launch material. Capacity figures are not a direct measure of real-world endurance, and there is no controlled, comparable battery-life result here to declare a winner.
What is the India price difference?
The following are dated official prices, not verified checkout prices. Find X9 prices are its November 2025 launch prices; Reno16 launch prices were announced in July 2026. OPPO’s later Reno16 product page gives a separate snapshot dated 31 August 2026, without explaining the difference from launch pricing.

At launch, the nominal difference between the 12GB+256GB Find X9 and 8GB+256GB Reno16 was ₹13,000. It is not a like-for-like configuration comparison: the Find X9 configuration has more RAM, and the launch dates differ. Using OPPO’s later Reno16 snapshot instead, the corresponding gap against the Find X9 launch price is ₹8,000. Neither calculation tells you today’s checkout difference. Which should you choose?
- Choose the Find X9 if you prioritize its higher-tier named chipset, larger listed display, or 512GB storage option.
- Choose the Reno16 if you prioritize a 50MP front camera, 3.5x optical telephoto, or a lower price in the dated India comparison.
- Check current pricing before deciding. The official figures above are dated, and they do not establish current retailer offers or stock.
Confirm the India model before buying
Regional phone names can conceal different specifications and pricing. OPPO identifies the India Find X9 as CPH2797 and the India Reno16 5G as CPH2865; OPPO notes that Reno16 models sold in other countries differ. Do not assume that a foreign Reno16, Reno16c, or Reno16 Pro is the same phone. OPPO’s India Reno16 product page provides the regional qualification, while its global Find X9 announcement says availability, pricing, and configurations can vary by region.
