There is no evidence-based universal winner between the India-market OPPO F35 5G and vivo S2 FE. The vivo S2 FE is the stronger specification match if you want the larger, sharper display and the higher stated battery capacity. The OPPO F35 5G is the more interesting choice if a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera and a 120Hz AMOLED display matter most. Those are conclusions from manufacturer-published specifications, not from comparative camera samples, battery-life measurements or sustained-performance tests.
This comparison uses official India product information reviewed on October 13, 2026. Regional variants, memory configurations, prices, software and network support can differ, so verify the exact model before buying.

Choose the vivo S2 FE when your priorities are screen size, screen resolution or the highest stated battery capacity. Its official India listing specifies a 6.83-inch, 2800 × 1260 AMOLED panel and a 10,000mAh typical battery (9,800mAh rated).
Consider the OPPO F35 5G when you prefer a smaller 6.57-inch phone and value its listed 50MP ultra-wide front camera, with an approximately 100-degree field of view. The S2 FE lists a 32MP front camera with a 90-degree field of view.

Do not treat either phone as the automatic winner for speed, image quality, battery runtime, durability, software support or value. The available evidence is a set of manufacturer specifications and one time-sensitive store listing, not a controlled head-to-head test.

Display: vivo wins on size and resolution, while both advertise 120Hz AMOLED
vivo S2 FE
The S2 FE uses a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 2800 × 1260 resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. A larger panel can make video, reading and split-screen work more comfortable, while the higher pixel count provides more detail in text and images. Those are practical implications of the specification, not a claim about measured viewing quality.
OPPO F35 5G
The OPPO lists a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh. That is a smaller footprint than the S2 FE’s 6.83 inches, which may suit people who want a less expansive phone for pockets or one-handed use. Both manufacturers publish 120Hz AMOLED panels, so neither model has a specification disadvantage on refresh rate.

OPPO lists 1400 nits peak global excitation brightness. vivo lists 2000 nits HBM (high-brightness mode). Because the manufacturers describe brightness differently and no controlled measurement is available here, you should not conclude that one screen is definitively brighter in sunlight. If outdoor legibility is decisive, look for an independent test of the exact regional units.
Battery and charging: higher capacity is not the same as longer runtime
vivo’s capacity advantage
vivo specifies a 10,000mAh typical battery and a 9,800mAh rated capacity for the S2 FE. It also lists 44W charging when using the official vivo charger. Typical and rated figures are both provided because battery capacity is measured and reported under different conventions; the rated number is the lower of the two published values.

OPPO’s 8000mAh battery and durability claim
OPPO lists an 8000mAh battery and advertises six-year battery durability, subject to its laboratory method and variant caveats. OPPO’s product-page footnote says: “The data was obtained from OPPO Labs and will differ slightly due to the test software version and specific testing environment.” This is a qualification of a manufacturer laboratory claim, not an independent endurance result.
What you can and cannot infer
The S2 FE has the larger stated capacity, but capacity alone does not tell you how many hours either phone will last. Screen size, brightness, refresh-rate behavior, modem use, processor efficiency, software settings and app workload all affect runtime. No comparable independent battery test was available for these two models, and the OPPO charging specification needed for a charging-speed comparison is not established here.
Front cameras: OPPO lists the wider, higher-resolution selfie sensor
OPPO F35 5G’s ultra-wide front camera
The OPPO product information lists a 50MP ultra-wide front camera with an approximately 100-degree field of view. That field of view can include more people or more background in a group selfie without requiring as much arm’s-length distance.
vivo S2 FE’s front camera
vivo lists a 32MP front camera with a 90-degree field of view. It has fewer stated pixels and a narrower stated view than the OPPO, although 32MP can still provide ample resolution for social posts and video calls.
Why megapixels do not settle camera quality
Resolution and field of view describe only part of a camera system. Lens quality, sensor size, image processing, exposure control, stabilization, skin-tone rendering and low-light behavior can change the result. No side-by-side samples or independent camera measurements are represented here, so the OPPO’s 50MP specification should not be converted into a claim that it takes better photos.

Rear cameras: verify the exact OPPO regional configuration
vivo’s India listing identifies a 50MP + 2MP rear-camera arrangement. The OPPO product page identifies its camera feature set, but the information available for this comparison does not establish a complete rear-camera specification for every regional SKU. Check the exact India model’s camera list before purchase, especially if telephoto, ultra-wide or macro capability matters to you.

Because the available figures do not include controlled photos, sensor comparisons or video tests, neither phone can be declared the better rear-camera device from specifications alone.
Performance and storage: do not rank the phones by chip name alone
Processors
OPPO uses the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 MAX, while vivo lists the Dimensity 7300e. Model names indicate different platforms, but they do not by themselves establish which phone opens apps faster, sustains gaming performance longer or manages heat better. Those outcomes depend on software tuning, cooling, memory configuration, workload and testing conditions.
Memory and storage choices
The vivo India listing offers 6GB or 8GB of RAM with 128GB storage. OPPO’s memory and storage combinations vary by region. Compare like-for-like configurations: an 8GB phone and a 6GB phone should not be treated as equivalent simply because their processors have similar names, and a different storage tier can change the price substantially.
If gaming or demanding multitasking is your deciding factor, wait for independent benchmarks and sustained-load tests of the exact regional variants. The published specifications alone do not justify a performance winner.

Durability and water resistance: useful ratings with strict limits
OPPO’s published ratings
OPPO advertises IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K laboratory ratings for the F35 5G. The product information also cautions that resistance can be affected by wear, use conditions and exposure to liquids, and that laboratory ratings do not remove the need for care.
vivo’s published ratings
vivo lists IP68/IP69 for the S2 FE and warns that resistance may decrease over time. vivo also states that liquid damage is not covered under warranty.
How to use the ratings safely
- Do not call either phone waterproof; the ratings describe specified laboratory conditions.
- Do not deliberately submerge, pressure-wash or expose either phone to salt water, chlorinated water or other liquids.
- Keep ports dry, inspect seals after drops or repairs, and follow the regional warranty terms.
- Treat resistance as protection against accidental exposure, not as permission for underwater photography.
Software: different interfaces, no established support winner
OPPO identifies ColorOS 16 as the F35 5G software. vivo lists Android 16 and OriginOS 6 for the S2 FE. The supplied product information does not establish a comparable number of guaranteed Android-version upgrades or security-update years.
If long-term support is important, ask the seller or manufacturer for the written policy covering your exact country and model number. Do not assume that the presence of Android 16 or a newer interface name guarantees a longer support period.

Price and availability in India
The vivo India store displayed ₹38,999 for one specific S2 FE 6GB+128GB 5G selection when checked, and that selection was marked out of stock. This is a point-in-time listing, not a permanent price or a statement about every configuration.

Which phone fits your priorities?
Choose the vivo S2 FE if the screen is your main priority
- You want a 6.83-inch panel rather than a 6.57-inch panel.
- You value the published 2800 × 1260 resolution.
- You prefer the higher stated battery capacity of 10,000mAh typical/9,800mAh rated.
- You are comfortable with a listed weight of 224g or 225g, depending on color.
The recommendation is an inference from the published specifications. It does not predict measured screen quality or battery runtime.
Consider the OPPO F35 5G if selfies and a smaller display matter more
- You want the listed 50MP ultra-wide front camera and approximately 100-degree field of view.
- You prefer a 6.57-inch AMOLED phone instead of the S2 FE’s 6.83-inch format.
- You want a 120Hz AMOLED display but do not need the S2 FE’s higher stated resolution.
- You are willing to verify the exact memory, storage, rear-camera and weight specifications for your regional SKU.

Wait for testing if performance, value or camera quality is decisive
Choose neither on headline numbers alone if your purchase depends on gaming speed, sustained performance, all-day endurance, low-light photography, video quality, update longevity or the best price. Look for independent tests that use the same regional configurations, then compare the current local prices and warranty terms.
Before you buy: an exact-model checklist
- Confirm the market. Make sure the listing is the India model, not an imported unit with different bands, software or warranty.
- Match the configuration. Record RAM, storage and color. The S2 FE listing’s ₹38,999 figure applied to a 6GB+128GB selection, not every S2 FE.
- Check stock and seller details. A displayed price can become irrelevant when the selection is out of stock or supplied by a different seller.
- Read the warranty exclusions. In particular, vivo states that liquid damage is not covered under warranty, even though the phone has IP ratings.
- Verify charging equipment. The S2 FE’s 44W figure is specified with the official vivo charger; confirm what the package and seller provide.
- Check physical fit. The S2 FE is listed at 224g or 225g depending on color. If hand comfort or pocketability matters, handle the device or confirm the OPPO’s regional weight before ordering.
- Review update commitments. Ask for the support policy for your exact model rather than inferring it from ColorOS 16, Android 16 or OriginOS 6.
- Inspect included accessories. vivo lists a phone case and applied protective film in the S2 FE package, so those accessories should not be treated as mandatory extra purchases; package contents can still vary by market.

The vivo S2 FE is the specification-led pick for a larger, sharper display and a higher stated battery capacity. The OPPO F35 5G is the specification-led alternative for its 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera and smaller 6.57-inch 120Hz AMOLED format. Neither can be awarded an overall victory without comparable testing, and the current price information is insufficient to name a value winner. Verify the exact India variant, stock, seller, warranty and support policy before making the purchase.
