For most budget commuters, the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC is the safer value choice. Its US listing combines Adaptive ANC 2.0, a manufacturer claim of up to 98.5% noise reduction, LDAC, Bluetooth multipoint, IPX4 protection and up to 50 hours of playback with the case for a listed $99.99. The OPPO Enco Air4 Pro is the more suitable choice for compatible OPPO or Android users who want LHDC 5.0, IP55 protection, lighter earbuds and longer playback from one charge.

Those noise-cancellation figures cannot be compared as if they were the same laboratory score. Soundcore reports a percentage reduction, while OPPO reports maximum tested cancellation depth and frequency range. Your seal, ear-tip size, fit and surrounding noise will affect the result with either pair.

Quick verdict: which pair should you buy?

Choose Soundcore Liberty 4 NC for the broadest value

Liberty 4 NC is the easier recommendation when your priorities are commuting, long total battery life and features that work across a wide range of recent phones. The official US listing gives it a $99.99 list price, 10 hours of playback per charge and 50 hours with the case in normal mode. It also includes Adaptive ANC 2.0, LDAC, Bluetooth 5.3 multipoint, HearID 2.0 equalizer personalization and six microphones with AI call processing.

Its published “up to 98.5%” noise-reduction figure is a manufacturer claim aimed at showing the system’s value-focused commuting performance, not an independent comparison with OPPO. Liberty 4 NC is rated IPX4, which covers water splashes but does not provide the dust rating stated for OPPO.

Choose OPPO Enco Air4 Pro for codec support, protection and single-charge endurance

Enco Air4 Pro makes more sense if your phone supports LHDC 5.0, if you want a higher stated ingress-protection rating, or if you dislike charging during a long day. OPPO lists 12 hours per earbud with ANC off, compared with 10 hours for Liberty 4 NC. Each OPPO earbud is listed at about 4.4 g, although comfort remains individual because ear shape and tip fit differ.

OPPO’s specifications list a maximum tested ANC depth of 49 dB and a 4000 Hz frequency range. Those are different measurements from Soundcore’s percentage claim, so they do not establish that Enco Air4 Pro cancels more or less noise in everyday use. OPPO also states that ANC performance changes with ear shape, ear-tip size, fit and ambient noise.

ANC performance: why the headline numbers are not directly comparable

What Soundcore’s 98.5% figure means

Soundcore says Liberty 4 NC can “reduce noise by up to 98.5%” with its advanced noise-cancelling system. A percentage reduction describes how much of a measured noise signal the system claims to remove under the company’s test conditions. The “up to” wording identifies a best-case result rather than a guaranteed reduction for every frequency, ear shape or environment.

What OPPO’s 49 dB and 4000 Hz figures mean

OPPO describes Enco Air4 Pro as providing up to 49 dB of ultra-deep noise cancellation across an ultra-wide 4000 Hz frequency range. Decibels describe level difference, while a frequency range describes the band in which cancellation is tested or specified. Neither number converts directly into Soundcore’s percentage, and neither is an independent real-world commute measurement.

What this means on a bus, train or airplane

Low-frequency engine and road rumble are usually the sounds adaptive ANC systems target most visibly, while voices, sudden impacts and poorly sealed gaps are harder for any in-ear system. The practical result depends on the passive seal as much as the electronics. OPPO specifically warns that ear shape, ear-tip size, fit and ambient noise affect its result; the same physical factors apply when judging Liberty 4 NC.

There is no independent head-to-head laboratory test establishing that one model cancels more real-world noise than the other. Treat both headline figures as product claims, then judge the pair that gives you the better seal and steadier comfort.

Battery life: OPPO lasts longer per charge, Liberty lasts longer with its case

Use mode OPPO Enco Air4 Pro Soundcore Liberty 4 NC Advantage from the published figures
Earbuds, ANC off Up to 12 hours Up to 10 hours OPPO by 2 hours
Case total, ANC off Up to 44 hours Up to 50 hours Liberty by 6 hours
Earbuds, ANC on Up to 5.5 hours Up to 8 hours Liberty by 2.5 hours
Case total, ANC on Up to 20 hours Up to 40 hours Liberty by 20 hours

These numbers produce two different winners. Enco Air4 Pro is the better fit for a workday or flight where you want the longest uninterrupted session with ANC disabled. Liberty 4 NC is better if ANC stays enabled and you rely on the charging case over several days. Soundcore’s comparison material lists 8 hours per charge and 40 hours total with ANC enabled; OPPO lists 5.5 and 20 hours under maximum ANC.

Do not interpret the figures as a promise of identical listening conditions. The manufacturers may use different volume levels, codecs and test procedures, and neither cited source supplies a common test protocol.

Codecs, phones and two-device connections

OPPO Enco Air4 Pro: LHDC 5.0

Enco Air4 Pro supports LHDC 5.0 as well as AAC and SBC. LHDC playback requires a phone or other source that supports LHDC and exposes the option in its Bluetooth settings. Without that compatibility, the connection uses another available codec and the advertised high-resolution benefit is not realized.

OPPO lists dual-device connectivity, but its specification includes ColorOS and HeyMelody conditions. Check the exact phone model, operating-system version and HeyMelody support in your market before assuming that two-device switching will work exactly as it does on an OPPO phone.

Soundcore Liberty 4 NC: LDAC and multipoint

Liberty 4 NC supports LDAC and Hi-Res Wireless, along with Bluetooth 5.3 multipoint. LDAC also requires a compatible source device and an enabled setting; a phone that does not offer LDAC will use a different codec. Bluetooth multipoint is the more universally useful feature for people who move between a phone and a laptop, although the exact behavior still depends on the source devices and firmware.

Which codec should matter to you?

Codec labels alone do not predict sound quality. The source device, software support, connection conditions and your own hearing all matter. Choose LHDC if your compatible OPPO or Android phone already supports it and you value that ecosystem. Choose LDAC if your phone supports LDAC or if broad Android compatibility and multipoint are more important than matching an OPPO-specific feature.

Durability, weight and everyday handling

IP55 versus IPX4

OPPO rates Enco Air4 Pro IP55, indicating the cited model has both a dust-protection rating and protection against water jets under the relevant test conditions. Soundcore rates Liberty 4 NC IPX4, which indicates splash resistance but does not state a dust-protection level. Neither rating makes the earbuds suitable for swimming or deliberate submersion.

Weight and fit

OPPO lists each Enco Air4 Pro earbud at approximately 4.4 g. The cited Liberty 4 NC listing does not provide an earbud weight, so a numerical weight comparison is not possible. A lighter specification does not guarantee a more comfortable fit: ear-tip seal, nozzle shape, pressure and movement are personal variables. No independent fit test establishes a winner.

Controls and calls

Both manufacturers describe multi-microphone processing for calls, with Soundcore specifying six microphones and AI call processing. These are manufacturer claims rather than independent head-to-head microphone tests. Call clarity can change with wind, traffic, the phone’s Bluetooth implementation and how securely each earbud sits.

Price and availability

The cited US Soundcore storefront lists Liberty 4 NC at $99.99 USD. That is a current list price from the referenced US listing, not a guarantee of sale pricing, stock or pricing in another country.

The cited OPPO global and Malaysia specification pages do not state a retail price for Enco Air4 Pro. OPPO pricing, distribution, warranty terms, included accessories and codec availability can vary by market. Compare the current local price and warranty before treating the two models as equally priced alternatives.

Which earbuds are better for common situations?

Daily train or bus commuting

Liberty 4 NC is the safer default because its published feature set combines adaptive ANC, the larger case-runtime claim and multipoint at a stated US price. The 98.5% figure should be treated as a company claim, not proof that it will outperform OPPO on every route.

Long listening without the case

Enco Air4 Pro has the longer stated single-charge runtime with ANC off: up to 12 hours versus Liberty’s 10. If your priority is one uninterrupted session and you can leave ANC disabled, OPPO has the numerical advantage.

Long days with ANC enabled

Liberty 4 NC has the stronger published ANC-on endurance, at up to 8 hours per charge and 40 hours including the case. OPPO lists 5.5 hours per earbud and 20 hours including the case under maximum ANC.

Dusty or splash-prone use

Enco Air4 Pro’s IP55 rating provides the more complete stated protection. Liberty 4 NC’s IPX4 rating covers splashes but does not include a dust rating in the cited specification.

An OPPO or compatible Android phone

Enco Air4 Pro is attractive if your phone supports LHDC 5.0 and you want to use OPPO’s dual-device features under the stated ColorOS or HeyMelody conditions. Verify compatibility before buying; the codec cannot be added by the earbuds alone.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Switching between a phone and computer

Liberty 4 NC’s Bluetooth multipoint is the clearer fit for this use case. As with any multipoint implementation, check whether your particular phone and computer maintain the connection reliably with the firmware version you use.

How to get the best result from either pair

  1. Start with the correct ear tips. Try the supplied sizes and select the tip that seals without painful pressure. A loose seal reduces passive isolation and can make ANC appear weak.
  2. Seat both earbuds consistently. Insert them at the same angle each time and check that music does not change dramatically when you turn your head. OPPO identifies ear shape and fit as variables in ANC performance.
  3. Use the codec your phone actually supports. Enable LHDC for Enco Air4 Pro or LDAC for Liberty 4 NC only when your source device offers that option. Otherwise, use the available AAC or SBC connection rather than expecting a high-resolution mode that the phone cannot provide.
  4. Budget for ANC battery use. Compare the ANC-on figures, not the larger ANC-off totals, if noise cancellation will remain enabled throughout the day.
  5. Check the rating against the activity. IP55 and IPX4 are protection ratings, not permission to submerge either product. Wipe moisture away and follow the manufacturer’s care guidance for your market.
  6. Recheck local price and warranty. Liberty’s cited price is US-specific, and OPPO’s price and availability vary by market.

What remains unresolved

The available specifications do not establish a definitive winner for sound quality, comfort, microphone quality or real-world ANC. Driver diameter—12.4 mm for OPPO and 11 mm for Soundcore—does not by itself predict tuning or detail. Likewise, an ANC percentage, decibel depth or frequency range cannot substitute for a controlled test using the same noise, tips, volume and measurement method.

For that reason, the buying decision should follow your device compatibility and usage pattern first. Liberty 4 NC has the stronger published value case for commuters and ANC-heavy use; Enco Air4 Pro has the stronger case for LHDC-compatible OPPO or Android phones, IP55 protection, lighter stated earbuds and long ANC-off sessions.
