Specifications are not a substitute for a matched test. The chipset names distinguish the phones, but no independent, like-for-like performance test of these exact retail variants is established here. Likewise, resolution and megapixel counts alone do not show which screen looks better in all conditions or which camera produces better photos.
Which phone has the better screen, storage and durability?
Display
Both phones have large 120Hz AMOLED displays. The GT 7T has the higher listed resolution at 1280 × 2800, compared with 1080 × 2392 for the Nord CE5 in the comparison listing. That is a specification advantage for the GT 7T, not a guarantee of a more pleasing display in every use.
Storage
For the compared 8GB RAM versions, the listing pairs the Nord CE5 with 128GB and the GT 7T with 256GB. The manufacturers identify UFS 3.1 for the Nord CE5 and UFS 4.0 for the GT 7T. Check the exact variant before buying; memory configurations can differ.

Durability
The cited comparison database lists IP65 for the Nord CE5 and IP69 for the GT 7T, which realme also promotes on its product page. Verify the regional SKU and warranty terms. An IP rating does not itself establish that liquid damage is covered by warranty.
Battery capacity or charging speed: which matters more?
The Nord CE5’s listed 7,100mAh capacity is 100mAh larger than the GT 7T’s 7,000mAh. The GT 7T, however, lists 120W charging against the Nord CE5’s 80W. realme’s stated 42-minute 0–100% charge time is a manufacturer claim under its test conditions, not a guaranteed result for every user or charging situation.

The Nord CE5’s listed rear setup includes a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide. realme identifies an IMX896 camera for the GT 7T, while the comparison data lists a 50MP main and 8MP ultrawide. The listed front-camera resolutions are 16MP for OnePlus and 32MP for realme.

The GT 7T therefore has the higher listed selfie-camera resolution, but megapixels and sensor labels do not establish image quality. There is no hands-on or controlled camera comparison here, so choose based on verified sample photos or your own priorities rather than treating resolution as a quality verdict.
Software support and performance
OnePlus says the Nord CE5 is eligible for “4 Android OS version updates, and 6 years of security updates via OTA.” A directly comparable official update commitment for the GT 7T in India is not established in the cited information, so this is not enough to declare an overall support winner.

There is no reliable single current price gap in the available figures because they do not form a same-time, same-variant comparison. OnePlus India’s product page displays a Nord CE5 starting price of “From ₹24,999.” Separately, Smartprix says its product details were last updated September 15, 2026, and showed ₹34,999 for the Nord CE5 and ₹30,998 for the GT 7T. Those figures point in a different direction from the official starting-price display and should not be treated as matched street prices.

Before deciding which is better value, compare the exact RAM and storage tier, color availability, seller, bank or exchange offers, warranty and delivery region. Treat a manufacturer starting price as distinct from a marketplace offer, and confirm current stock and the model’s India variant on the seller’s page. The comparison page is available at Smartprix; its listed prices are a dated snapshot, not a live-price guarantee.
Which should you buy?
- Choose the Nord CE5 if you prioritize its slightly larger stated battery capacity or want the explicit OnePlus commitment of four Android version updates and six years of security updates.
- Choose the GT 7T if the higher listed display resolution, faster stated charging, 256GB storage in the compared 8GB RAM configuration, or IP69 rating matters more to you.
- Compare live prices before choosing either because the available price figures are not matched configurations or same-time offers.
Neither chipset label, camera resolution nor battery capacity alone proves which phone will be faster, take better photos or last longer on a charge. The best choice depends on which verified specifications matter most to you and the price of the exact variant available from your seller.
