The OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G is the better fit if you prioritize a larger rated battery, faster wired charging and a longer support commitment stated by its manufacturer. The Nothing Phone (3a) is the more flexible camera choice on paper, with a dedicated 2× optical telephoto camera. Neither specification sheet proves which phone lasts longer or takes better photos in everyday use.

The display listings are close on size and refresh rate; those figures alone do not establish a visual winner. The processor names identify different platforms, but there is no controlled head-to-head performance result here. OnePlus reports an AnTuTu score of 1,474,030 for the Nord CE 5 5G’s 12GB variant from OnePlus Test Labs; that is a manufacturer-reported benchmark, not an independent comparison with the Phone (3a). Which phone has better battery and charging?
By rated capacity and charging wattage, the Nord CE 5 5G leads: OnePlus lists a 7,100mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOC charging, compared with Nothing’s 5,000mAh battery and 50W charging for Phone (3a). These are manufacturer specifications, not measured endurance or charge-time results. Actual battery life and charging time depend on usage and conditions, so the figures cannot establish which phone will last longer for a particular buyer.

Does the Nothing Phone (3a) have a telephoto camera?
Yes. Nothing lists a 50MP telephoto camera with 2× optical zoom, alongside a 50MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultrawide. The Nord CE 5 5G camera listing used for this comparison names a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide, without a dedicated telephoto camera. That gives the Phone (3a) a clearly documented hardware option for optical zoom; it is not proof of better overall image quality. Nothing’s India product page also lists a 32MP selfie camera. The Nord’s 16MP selfie figure comes from 91mobiles, not the OnePlus product page cited here.

OnePlus also has an older product named Nord CE 5G, without the “5” in the model name. Its specifications are different; do not use that older phone’s Snapdragon 750G processor, 4,500mAh battery or 90Hz display as Nord CE 5 5G specifications. Use the current Nord CE 5 5G product page to verify the model.
