Which is the better fit depends on the exact regional model, live price and what you value most.

On the same date, 91mobiles displayed ₹85,999 for the OnePlus 15 and ₹53,199 for the Edge 70 Max. The difference between those two comparison-page figures is ₹32,800, but they are not a matched pair of official prices: the page links to Amazon listings, and the Motorola figure differs from the price displayed by Motorola India. Which phone has the stronger performance hardware?
The OnePlus 15 lists the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while Motorola lists the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. That gives OnePlus the higher-tier chipset naming and official listed clock specification in this comparison. It is a hardware distinction, not proof that OnePlus will be faster in every app or sustained workload; actual results can depend on software, cooling and the task.
91mobiles reports higher benchmark scores for OnePlus on its comparison page, but the source does not provide enough detail to audit matched testing conditions. Use those scores as that site’s reported comparison, not as a universal prediction of daily performance.
Display: sharper resolution or higher gaming refresh?
The Edge 70 Max has the larger and higher-resolution panel on the listed specifications: 6.82 inches at 3168 × 1440, compared with the OnePlus 15’s 6.78 inches at 2772 × 1272. Motorola specifies refresh rates up to 144Hz. OnePlus lists adaptive 1–120Hz and a maximum of 165Hz specifically in gaming. The practical distinction is therefore sharper stated resolution on Motorola versus a higher stated gaming refresh ceiling on OnePlus; the figures alone do not establish which screen looks or feels better to an individual.
Battery and charging: capacity versus charging choices
OnePlus lists a 7,300mAh battery and 120W wired charging. Motorola lists 7,100mAh, 90W wired charging and 25W magnetic wireless charging in its EMEA specifications. The 200mAh capacity difference and rated charging wattages do not establish real-world battery life or charging time. The clearest hardware distinction is that Motorola lists magnetic wireless charging, while OnePlus lists the higher wired charging rate.

Camera hardware and zoom flexibility
91mobiles lists three 50MP rear cameras for the OnePlus 15: wide, ultrawide and periscope. Motorola’s official EMEA specification lists a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide; it identifies the main sensor as Sony LYTIA 710. The listed arrays suggest different camera options, including a periscope camera on OnePlus, but megapixel counts and hardware lists alone cannot establish photo quality. The available specifications do not provide a basis for comparing image samples or real-world camera performance.
Durability and software support vary by region
Protection ratings
OnePlus lists Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for the cover glass. Motorola lists IP68/IP69, Gorilla Glass 7i and testing against MIL-STD-810H procedures. Motorola states that the Edge 70 Max was tested against 16 categories and 14 procedures, but explicitly warns that laboratory testing does not guarantee future performance under those conditions; abuse such as MIL-STD testing is not covered by its standard warranty. These are manufacturer claims, not guarantees that a phone cannot be damaged.
Update commitments
Motorola’s EMEA support specification lists up to 3 years of OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates. A Motorola UK marketing footnote instead states 2 OS upgrades and up to 3 years of security updates, and Motorola notes that terms vary by market. The reviewed OnePlus specifications page does not state a support period. Confirm the policy for the precise model and country before treating update longevity as a deciding factor.
