The biggest difference is size: the global OnePlus 15 has a 6.78-inch display, while the OnePlus 15T is a compact 6.32-inch model listed for China. The 15T has a slightly higher published typical battery capacity, but the 15 charges faster by cable and includes an ultrawide rear camera. Their shared chipset family does not establish equal real-world performance, and the available prices are not a like-for-like retail comparison.

Which is better for size and everyday handling?
The 15T is the clear choice if you want a smaller phone. Its 6.32-inch display is 0.46 inches smaller diagonally than the 15’s 6.78-inch screen, which can make the device easier to hold and carry. The 15 gives you more screen area for reading, video, games and split-screen use. Display size alone does not establish overall body dimensions or weight.
Are the OnePlus 15 and 15T equally fast?
Both are associated with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset family, so their headline platform is shared. That does not prove equal sustained performance: cooling, software, power management and workload affect results. PhoneArena marks benchmark and battery results for the 15T as untested, and the reviewed sources do not provide a verified head-to-head test. Treat this as a specification comparison, not evidence that one model is faster in extended gaming or other demanding use.
How do battery and charging compare?
OnePlus lists the 15T at 7,500 mAh typical capacity and 7,270 mAh rated, versus 7,300 mAh typical for the OnePlus 15. These published capacities suggest a small advantage on paper for the 15T, not a proven longer runtime; no verified comparative battery test is available. The 15 has the higher listed wired charging rate at 120W, while the 15T lists 100W. Both China-market product pages specify 50W wireless charging.

Charging rates are specifications, not a promise that every regional charger or accessory will deliver them. The reviewed material does not verify what charger is included or regional charging compatibility, so check the exact package and local model before buying.
What camera difference matters most?
The main practical distinction is the ultrawide camera: PhoneArena’s comparison lists three rear cameras on the 15, including an ultrawide, while the 15T has a main camera and a 3.5x periscope telephoto but no listed ultrawide. Choose the 15 if framing wide landscapes, interiors or large groups without stepping back is important. Both are listed with 3.5x telephoto capability. Camera counts and megapixel figures do not establish which phone takes better photos; the reviewed sources do not provide a controlled comparison.
What is the price difference?
A reliable same-market price difference cannot be calculated from the available figures. OnePlus Community announced a China launch price of ¥4,299 for the 15T with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Tom’s Guide converted that to approximately US$624 in an article dated March 25, 2026, but this is a currency conversion of a China launch price, not a US retail listing. Tom’s Guide, March 25, 2026.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is the OnePlus 15T available globally?
The official 15T product and launch pages reviewed here are China-market listings, and the launch notice directs buyers to China’s OPPO Store. That establishes a China-market launch, not current worldwide availability or the absence of later regional releases. TechRadar reported in March 2026 that wider availability was unclear at that time. TechRadar, March 2026.
Before importing or buying a listing that claims to be the 15T, verify the model’s network bands, software version, warranty coverage, after-sales support, shipping costs and return terms in your country. The China 15T runs ColorOS 16, while the global OnePlus 15 specifications list OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16; regional software is a meaningful difference, not just a packaging detail. The available sources do not establish a 15T global SKU or matching warranty and network support.
Quick Recap
Which one should you choose?
- Choose the OnePlus 15 if you prefer a larger display, want an ultrawide rear camera, or value its higher published wired charging rate.
- Consider the OnePlus 15T if a compact 6.32-inch phone is your priority and you are comfortable verifying the China-market model’s local software, network, warranty and support details.
- Wait for a verified local listing if your decision depends on a precise price comparison, regional support or confirmed availability. The sources here do not establish current same-market pricing for both phones.
