The OnePlus 13s vs Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G comparison comes down to a compact phone with a higher-tier processor and dedicated 2x telephoto, or a larger-screen phone with a bigger listed battery and an ultrawide/macro camera. India price snapshots also put the Motorola lower, but the figures vary by retailer and can change. The specifications below are manufacturer-listed unless otherwise noted.

Which phone has the better screen and design?
Choose the OnePlus 13s for a smaller phone
At 6.32 inches and 185g, the OnePlus 13s is the more compact choice. Its screen is substantially smaller than Motorola’s, a practical distinction for one-handed handling and pocket space. OnePlus describes the phone as “At just 185g light,” but that is the manufacturer’s positioning rather than an independent comfort assessment. OnePlus India product page
Choose Motorola for a larger, faster-refreshing panel
The Edge 70 Pro’s 6.8-inch display is larger and lists a refresh rate up to 144Hz, compared with the 120Hz panel reported for the OnePlus 13s. That favors readers who want more viewing area and a higher stated refresh ceiling. Actual smoothness and brightness depend on settings, content and conditions; the listed maximums do not establish a head-to-head display test.

Motorola’s weight is finish-dependent: 183g for silk and 190g for acetate. It is therefore not accurate to call the Motorola categorically heavier than the 185g OnePlus.
Performance: Snapdragon 8 Elite or Dimensity 8500 Extreme?
The OnePlus 13s uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the Motorola uses MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme. The OnePlus has the stronger positioning on chipset name and the comparison figures published by 91mobiles, but those figures are not universal measures of everyday speed.
91mobiles lists Geekbench multi-core scores of 9,192 for OnePlus 13s and 6,864 for Motorola Edge 70 Pro, plus AnTuTu scores of 2,581,355 and 2,194,258 respectively. These are comparison-page figures, not independently verified, controlled results presented with a repeatable testing protocol. Workload, software, temperature and performance settings affect outcomes. If demanding processing is your priority, the OnePlus has the more compelling spec-and-score case; do not treat those scores as a guarantee of a fixed real-world gap.

Motorola lists a 6500mAh battery and 90W wired charging, versus 5850mAh and 80W on OnePlus. Motorola also lists 5W wired reverse charging. These are rated capacities and charging wattages, not comparative endurance or full-charge-time results. Screen size, signal conditions, workload and software all affect battery life, and no controlled side-by-side battery test is established here.
On listed capacity and charging wattage alone, Motorola has the higher numbers. If your decision depends on how long either phone lasts in your own routine, these specifications cannot settle it.
Camera trade-off: 2x telephoto or ultrawide/macro?
OnePlus 13s: dedicated 2x optical telephoto
The OnePlus pairs a 50MP main camera with a 50MP autofocus telephoto offering 2x optical zoom. That is the more directly relevant hardware choice if you often frame distant subjects or prefer a tighter portrait perspective without relying solely on digital cropping.
Rank #2
Motorola Edge 70 Pro: ultrawide and macro flexibility
Motorola lists a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 50MP autofocus ultrawide/macro camera. That configuration is better aligned with wide scenes and close-up framing. The two rear-camera systems serve different purposes; megapixel counts alone do not establish which phone takes better photos.
Motorola lists a 50MP autofocus selfie camera, while OnePlus lists a 32MP autofocus front camera. The higher resolution is not, by itself, proof of better selfie quality.

Which one should you buy?
- Choose OnePlus 13s if you want a smaller 6.32-inch phone, prioritize the Snapdragon 8 Elite, or would use a dedicated 2x optical telephoto more than an ultrawide camera.
- Choose Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G if you want a 6.8-inch display, prefer an ultrawide/macro camera, or the live price for your chosen variant makes it the better fit.
- Compare checkout prices before deciding: the observed India listings vary by retailer and date, so the apparent price gap is not a fixed product difference.
Software support: verify the current India policy
Motorola’s specification page states “Up to 3 years” for OS upgrades plus security patches. The wording does not specify a more detailed schedule in the captured material. The OnePlus product page reviewed did not yield a comparable support commitment, so the available information does not establish which phone will receive longer support.
