For Indian buyers, choose the OnePlus 13R if you want a dedicated 2x optical telephoto camera or a listed 16GB/512GB version. Choose the Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G if you prefer its larger stated battery, faster wired charging, 144Hz display, IP68/IP69 ratings, or autofocus selfie camera. Their specifications point to different priorities; they do not establish which phone performs better, takes better photos, or lasts longer in everyday use.

Which phone has the better price in India?

The price depends on the variant and whether you are comparing an MRP with a temporary offer. OnePlus lists an MRP of ₹42,999 for the 12GB/256GB 13R and ₹49,999 for the 16GB/512GB model. Motorola’s India shop page displayed the Edge 70 Pro at ₹39,999 against an MRP of ₹51,999. On those published figures, Motorola’s displayed offer is ₹3,000 below the OnePlus 12GB/256GB MRP—but that is not a comparison of two live transaction prices.

A third-party comparison page displayed ₹54,999 for the OnePlus 13R and ₹39,999 for the Motorola, but its OnePlus quote conflicts with OnePlus India’s published MRP. Do not treat that ₹15,000 gap as a typical market-price difference without checking current retailer listings for the same date and exact variants. The comparison page is available at 91mobiles’ OnePlus 13R comparison page. Offers, stock and seller prices can change.

Which phone is better for cameras?

Choose OnePlus for a dedicated optical-zoom camera

The OnePlus 13R has a 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, alongside a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide. The dedicated telephoto camera gives it a listed hardware advantage for taking pictures at that zoom level.

Choose Motorola for its listed front-camera autofocus

The Edge 70 Pro lists a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide/macro rear camera and a 50MP autofocus front camera. Its official specifications do not list a telephoto camera. More megapixels do not by themselves prove better image quality, and these specifications alone cannot establish which phone takes better photos overall.

Battery, charging and display differences

Motorola lists a 6,500mAh battery and 90W wired charging; OnePlus lists 6,000mAh and 80W. Motorola also lists 5W wired reverse charging. These are manufacturer specifications, not results from matched battery-life or charging-time tests, so capacity and wattage do not establish real-world runtime or how quickly either phone charges in practice.

Motorola specifies a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz, compared with the OnePlus 13R’s dynamic 1–120Hz LTPO display. A higher maximum refresh rate can matter if you prioritize smooth screen updates, while the quoted maximum alone does not show how often the display uses that rate. Motorola’s listed 5200-nit peak brightness is a manufacturer figure; the available specifications do not establish that its brightness was measured under the same conditions as OnePlus’s display.

Durability, size and software support

Motorola lists IP68 and IP69 protection, MIL-STD 810H and Gorilla Glass 7i; OnePlus lists IP65. These ratings describe defined protection tests and conditions, not immunity to damage. Neither rating guarantees that a phone will survive every exposure, accident or type of wear.

The listed weights favor Motorola: 183g for the silk finish and 190g for the acetate finish, versus 206g for the OnePlus 13R. Check the Motorola finish before relying on its weight figure.

The software versions listed are OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 for OnePlus and Android 16 for Motorola. Motorola states up to three years of OS upgrades and security patches. The remaining update-support period for the OnePlus 13R was not established by the reviewed manufacturer information, so the support commitments cannot be compared on equal terms.

Who should choose each phone?

Choose the OnePlus 13R if

  • You want a dedicated 2x optical telephoto camera.
  • You want the listed 16GB/512GB configuration; Motorola lists options only up to 12GB/256GB.
  • You prefer an LTPO display with a dynamic refresh rate.

Choose the Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G if

  • You prioritize the larger listed battery or higher wired charging wattage.
  • You want a display with a listed maximum refresh rate of 144Hz.
  • You value the listed IP68/IP69 ratings or a 50MP autofocus front camera.
  • You prefer the lower listed weight, depending on the finish.
