Samsung announced the S26 FE at $699.99 in the US and listed its 8GB/256GB model at INR 79,999 in India. Those are regional launch figures, not a direct price comparison: a matching current OnePlus 13R price has not been established.
Which phone should you buy?
Choose based on the features you value, not on an assumed universal winner. The official specifications give a useful comparison of hardware, but they do not establish which phone is faster under sustained load, lasts longer in everyday use or takes better photos.
- Consider the OnePlus 13R if you prioritize its 6.78-inch 1.5K display, 6,000mAh listed battery capacity and wired charging rated up to 80W (55W in North America).
- Consider the Galaxy S26 FE if you want wireless charging, a telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, an IP68 rating or the software-support commitment stated in Samsung’s India announcement.
Check the price for the exact storage configuration in your country before deciding. The available official Samsung figures are launch prices from different markets, and no current same-market OnePlus 13R price is established here.

Performance: chip names do not settle the comparison
OnePlus lists the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for the 13R, while Samsung lists the Exynos 2500 for the S26 FE. The processor names alone do not show which phone delivers higher sustained performance, runs cooler or performs better in games. No independent benchmark or thermal test is established here, so treat claims about those outcomes as unverified unless they are supported by comparable testing of both phones.
Display: larger and higher-resolution versus a different panel specification
OnePlus lists a 6.78-inch, 1.5K, 120Hz flat display. Samsung lists a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,900 nits stated. The listed dimensions and resolutions make the OnePlus screen larger and higher-resolution on paper; they do not establish measured brightness, color accuracy, outdoor readability or overall image quality.
Cameras: compare the zoom range, not just megapixels
Both phones list a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization. Their secondary cameras differ: the 13R has a 50MP portrait camera with 2x optical zoom and an 8MP ultrawide, while Samsung lists a 12MP ultrawide and an 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom and OIS. The S26 FE therefore has the longer stated optical reach. Megapixel counts and lens specifications cannot determine which phone takes better photos; that requires side-by-side testing under comparable conditions.

OnePlus lists a 6,000mAh battery and charging up to 80W, with 55W specified for North America. Samsung lists a 4,900mAh typical battery capacity and a 4,755mAh rated minimum, plus 45W wired and 15W wireless charging. The listed capacity and charging rates do not establish day-to-day battery life or charge times, which can vary with usage, charger, region and other conditions.
Durability and software support
OnePlus lists IP65 water and dust resistance; Samsung lists IP68. Samsung notes that its water resistance is based on laboratory submersion conditions and is not permanent, so an IP rating should not be treated as a guarantee against damage in every situation.
At announcement, OnePlus listed OxygenOS 15 for the 13R and Samsung listed Android 17 with One UI 9 for the S26 FE. Samsung’s India announcement promises up to seven OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from global launch. Samsung’s US announcement gives the Galaxy S26 FE a starting price of $699.99. Samsung India lists INR 79,999 for the 8GB/256GB model. These are official launch figures for separate markets, not current prices that can be compared directly across countries.
