There are two different seagull achievements in How to Fish: Let me go unlocks when a gull carries your character away after death, while Everyone’s dream is for killing a seagull with dynamite. The methods below come from third-party guides, not official developer instructions, so check each achievement’s current in-game description if a patch changes how it works.
Which seagull achievement are you trying to unlock?

These are separate objectives: killing a gull does not substitute for being carried away, or vice versa.

How to get Let me go
- Let your character die.
- When the respawn prompt appears, do not select respawn. Wait for a seagull to pick up your character and carry them away.
- If the pickup does not happen after a normal death, one guide suggests using dynamite to create a fresh death, then waiting again.
This is a guide-reported sequence, not a guaranteed mechanic. The reviewed sources do not establish official, patch-specific requirements or explain how long the wait should take.

Get dynamite
A guide places dynamite in the shop on Island 2 (Forest), after the Spider Crab progression gate. Another guide lists the price as $25 per stick for version 1.0.4; treat that as historical information, not a verified current price. Check the shop in your game for availability and cost.

Bait and detonate
- Leave a fish where seagulls can reach it.
- Wait for a gull to approach the fish.
- Detonate dynamite as the bird goes for the bait. Keep a safe distance from the blast.
Guides describe slightly different execution details, including throwing a lit stick as a gull takes the fish. The bait-and-detonation approach is a reported method, not a confirmed guarantee.
When do the achievements unlock, and what is the reward?
A broad achievement guide lists both seagull objectives as post-game cleanup, but the reviewed sources do not confirm that they are currently gated behind completing the game. The documented reward is the achievement unlock itself. One third-party guide claims a killed gull weighs 1.5 and sells for $5; those figures are not confirmed by an official source and should not be treated as current game values.

How reliable are the instructions?
The reviewed guides identify How to Fish as Dazed Games’ Steam co-op fishing shooter, but no official developer achievement listing or current patch-specific instructions were available in the cited material. Third-party guides and prices may become outdated after updates, so use the achievement text and shop shown in your current game as the final reference.
