There is no permanent, official One Piece Bounty Rush tier list. The most useful answer is a dated snapshot plus a plan for applying it: as of October 13, 2026, two active community lists disagree, and both should be treated as opinions about league performance rather than guarantees. Pocket Gamer’s October 7, 2026 (version 7.5) list places several characters in a broad SS tier, while OPBR Guide’s October 10, 2026 UTC list is more selective. Use the list as a shortlist, then build around the game’s actual win condition—capturing and holding treasure in 4v4 battles.
Reroll instructions, active-banner contents and summon rates are not verified here, so no responsible guide can promise a specific reroll target or reset sequence. You can still make sound progress by checking the current in-game banner, investing in support and medals, and covering the Attacker, Defender and Runner jobs your roster needs.
What the One Piece Bounty Rush tier list can—and cannot—tell you
One Piece Bounty Rush is a 4v4 treasure-capture game, not a damage-per-second test. Bandai Namco’s official How to Play guide defines three broad classes: Attackers defeat opponents, Defenders protect treasure and Runners capture treasure. A character who tops a damage chart may still be a poor choice if the team cannot take or hold flags.
Tier lists are community judgments. They compress factors such as league performance, current meta impact, role value, versatility, ease of use and matchup strength into a letter grade. New releases, balance changes and player discoveries can change those judgments quickly. Read the update date and criteria before treating any placement as current.
October 2026 snapshots
| List | Update and scope | Notable placements | How to use it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pocket Gamer | Updated October 7, 2026; version 7.5 | SS includes The Four Emperors Monkey D. Luffy, Legendary Hero Monkey D. Garp and Blackbeard Pirates Kuzan; the SS tier is broad. | Useful for identifying a wide group of highly rated options, but an SS label does not establish a required team. |
| OPBR Guide | Unofficial list updated October 10, 2026 UTC | The Four Emperors Monkey D. Luffy is SS; The Wings Zoro & Sanji is S; Gol D. Roger, Flame Emperor Sabo, Blackbeard Pirates Kuzan, The Four Emperors Marshall D. Teach, King and Winner Island Trafalgar Law are A. | Its stated criteria—league performance, meta impact, role value, versatility, ease of use and matchup strength—make it a useful framework for judging your own roster. |
The disagreement is informative: Kuzan is SS in one list and A in the other, while Luffy remains SS in both. Do not average the letters mechanically. Ask why a list rates a character highly, whether that reason matches your play style and whether your account already covers the missing roles.

Should I reroll?
Only reroll when the current banner and reset process have been verified in the live game for your platform and region. The available public information does not establish a current banner schedule, summon rates, guaranteed outcomes, reset instructions or a defensible universal target list. Any article that supplies those details without checking the active banner may be describing an old version.
A safe reroll decision
- Open the active summon screen in the game. Record the banner name, end time, featured characters and any stated guarantees. Do not rely on a screenshot from an older event.
- Confirm your platform. Steam and mobile maintain separate rankings and league ranks, according to Bandai Namco’s ranking-separation FAQ. A reroll plan or account comparison that ignores this distinction can lead you to the wrong expectations.
- Define a role need before pulling. Decide whether your starting roster lacks a reliable treasure taker, a defender or a character that can pressure opponents. A high letter grade is less valuable than filling the job your first team cannot perform.
- Check the official banner information and the in-game result. Keep a result only when it gives you a workable role and element combination, not merely because a community list labels one character SS.
- Stop when the account is playable. Repeating resets has an opportunity cost: you delay training, medal work and learning the 4v4 map objective. Without verified rates and guarantees, there is no evidence-based number of attempts that is “enough.”
If you cannot verify those details, start with the account you have and invest in fundamentals. A lower-ranked character that fits your roles, elements and controls can contribute more than a celebrated unit used without support.

Who should I upgrade first?
There is no published universal cost curve or optimal investment order. Bandai Namco’s guide specifically points to upgrading support characters, setting Medals and using Character Type Effects as ways to build a stronger team. Treat upgrades as a system, not as a single-character race.
1. Make one dependable match team functional
Choose the characters you can actually field together and that cover the treasure objective. Bring the most complete pair first—a character who can contest or capture and another who can protect or recover treasure—rather than spreading every resource across your entire box. This is a practical sequencing choice, not an official required class ratio.

2. Upgrade support characters around your active team
Support characters improve the foundation behind your battle team. Prioritize support that strengthens the roles and elements your main pair uses, then revisit the setup when you change those characters. The official guide names support upgrades but does not publish a single best level threshold or a universal cost schedule, so avoid promises that a particular number guarantees a league result.
3. Set Medals deliberately
Medals are another official team-building lever. Match the set to the job: a treasure-oriented character needs a setup that helps it reach, take or survive around treasure, while a defender needs effects that help it remain on the flag. Use the effects available on your account and compare the result in actual matches; do not copy a build that assumes a different character, element or play pattern.
4. Use Character Type Effects and then refine
Character Type Effects add another layer to team construction. Select effects that reinforce the roles you are fielding, test the team in league play and change one part at a time. Because exact thresholds and costs are not established in the official guide, keep a record of what you changed instead of following a supposedly universal spreadsheet.

5. Expand only after the core is reliable
Once one team can contest treasure consistently, invest in a second role or element that answers matchups your first team struggles against. This produces more practical flexibility than raising many unrelated characters to mediocre levels.
How do I build a good team?
Start with the objective and roles, then use the tier list as a filter. The official guide identifies red, blue, green, white and black elements and says favorable matchups increase damage while unfavorable matchups reduce it. Element choice therefore matters when you decide which character to bring, especially if your roster can cover more than one color.
A repeatable team-building process
- List your available roles. Mark which characters function as Attackers, Defenders and Runners. A team that only seeks knockouts can lose to an opponent that quietly captures the final treasure.
- Choose a win-condition pair. Select at least one character that can take treasure and one that can protect or contest it. Add offensive pressure when it helps those jobs rather than replacing them.
- Check element coverage. Review the red, blue, green, white and black elements represented by your choices. Favorable and unfavorable damage interactions mean that a single-color roster can become predictable; broader coverage can give you better answers when your account allows it.
- Match Medals to the job. Configure each character for what it must do in a match—reach treasure, stay alive on it, or remove an opponent blocking the route.
- Build support and Character Type Effects around the same plan. Do not optimize a support page for one role while your battle team depends on another. Recheck it whenever the active pair changes.
- Test the plan in league matches. Note whether losses come from failed captures, lost defenses, bad element matchups or inability to defeat a blocker. Change the relevant role, medal or support choice rather than replacing the whole team after one defeat.
Why a top-tier character may not fit
A tier placement describes expected value under the list maker’s assumptions. Your account may lack the support, medals or complementary role that makes that character effective. Control familiarity also matters: an easy-to-use option can produce more consistent captures than a technically stronger character you cannot position. Use SS, S and A as search categories, then judge the character by the treasure jobs your team still needs.

Steam and mobile rankings are not interchangeable
Bandai Namco states that the PC version (Steam) and the mobile version manage “various rankings” and “league ranks” separately. Do not compare a Steam league position with a mobile position as if they were one ladder, and label any tier-list observation with its platform scope when that information is known.
The game is available through the App Store, Google Play and Steam. Bandai Namco describes it as free to play with paid items and loot boxes on its official game site. That monetization context is relevant to reroll decisions: a banner pull is not evidence that a character will solve your team’s role, element or upgrade needs.
Common tier-list mistakes and fixes
- Treating a dated list as permanent: check the update date and version before spending resources.
- Assuming SS means “must own”: use the role and matchup tests above; no source establishes a mandatory character.
- Chasing kills instead of treasure: ask whether each pick can capture, hold or enable a capture.
- Ignoring elements: review all five listed elements and account for favorable or unfavorable damage interactions.
- Copying an upgrade order with invented numbers: the official guide names support, Medals and Character Type Effects but does not provide universal costs or thresholds.
- Using old reroll recipes: verify the live banner, rates and reset flow in-game before committing; those details change and are not established here.
- Comparing the wrong platform ladder: Steam and mobile rankings and league ranks are managed separately.
How to keep your tier-list decisions current
Record the source, update date, game version and platform whenever you make a roster decision. Recheck both community lists after a major character release or balance change, and look for a stated explanation—role value, versatility, matchup strength or league performance—rather than reacting to a letter change alone. If two lists disagree, preserve the disagreement in your notes and test the character against your own team’s missing job.
Quick Recap
The durable takeaway is a process: use dated lists to find candidates, verify the live banner before any reroll, upgrade support and Medals alongside your battle characters, apply Character Type Effects, and assemble for 4v4 treasure control with element coverage. That approach remains useful even when the next update moves the letters.
