If Once Human disconnects with a “network anomaly” message or keeps crashing, start by noting exactly when it happens. NetEase’s published guidance recommends checking network stability for connection or installation trouble; for recurring crashes or graphical errors, it advises updating drivers and repairing the game client. The official material reviewed does not identify the cause of the specific network-anomaly message or confirm a dedicated fix for it.
First, identify when the problem happens
Before changing settings, record the exact error text and whether the issue occurs at launch, login, when entering a server or during a session. Also note your platform, whether other online services are affected, and whether the problem began after a game update. These details help distinguish a connection symptom from a crash and make a support report more useful; the error wording alone is not enough to establish a cause.
What to try for a network-anomaly disconnect
- Check whether your connection is stable. NetEase’s Once Human Official Release FAQ gives this general advice for download or installation problems. It does not specifically explain the in-game “network anomaly” message, so treat this as a basic diagnostic rather than a confirmed fix.
- If you use Wi-Fi, test a wired connection if practical. This can help you check whether an unstable wireless link is involved, but it is not a publisher-verified solution. It will not address a game bug, a server-side problem or a network route issue outside your home.
- Note whether other online activity also fails. If only Once Human is affected, include that detail in your report; if other services are affected too, note that as well. These observations narrow the report but do not prove where the fault lies.
What to try for crashes or graphical errors
- Update your graphics or device drivers. NetEase lists driver updates among its published checks for recurring crashes or graphical errors in the official FAQ.
- Repair the game client. Use the repair option available in your game launcher or client. The FAQ recommends client repair, but the exact interface can depend on how you installed the game.
- Disconnect unusual attached controllers if relevant. NetEase warns that pedals, gearbox controls and joysticks may cause compatibility errors. If you use one, disconnect it and check whether the issue changes.
These are the publisher’s general troubleshooting checks, not a guarantee that any one will resolve every crash. Make one change at a time so you can tell whether the symptom changes.

Some Once Human crashes and freezes have been fixed in particular updates, but those fixes apply to the named bugs rather than to all crashes or disconnects. For example, NetEase’s Version 2.0 notes published July 15, 2025 say a crash involving certain fashion combinations and a freeze during scenario transfer were fixed. The 3.0.1 notes from July 14, 2026 address an incorrect “Multiple journeys completed” prompt after sign-in or scene switching. The 3.0.3 notes from August 7, 2026 list other specific fixes but do not describe a general network-anomaly fix. Check current official announcements for a fix matching your exact symptom.

Send NetEase a useful support report
If the problem continues, report it through the route listed in NetEase’s 3.0.3 notes: on PC, press ESC → Support & Feedback → Submit Suggestion. For an offline report, the notes list oncehuman@global.netease.com.
Include the exact error text, your platform, when the disconnect or crash occurs, whether it repeats, whether other online services are affected, and the troubleshooting steps you already tried. If the issue started after an update, include that timing. This gives support concrete details to investigate without assuming the error has a known cause.
