Omnilux Contour Face and the BON CHARGE Red Light Face Mask publish similar red and near-infrared wavelengths, but their recommended session times, specifications, regulatory wording, and warranty terms differ. Those differences can help you choose a routine and product policy that suit you; they do not show that either mask produces better results.
How do the masks compare?
| Factor | Omnilux Contour Face | BON CHARGE Red Light Face Mask |
|---|---|---|
| Manufacturer-stated purpose | Fine lines and wrinkles, and overall tone and firmness. Omnilux product page | Appearance of tone, texture, and fine lines and wrinkles; described as a general-use beauty product. BON CHARGE product page |
| Published wavelengths | 633 nm red and 830 nm near-infrared. Omnilux product page | 630 nm red and 850 nm near-infrared. BON CHARGE product page |
| Published device details | 132 LEDs. Omnilux product page | 240 LEDs, 40.8 mW/cm² irradiance, flexible A-grade silicone, and 200 g. BON CHARGE product page |
| Usage guidance | 10 minutes, three to five times weekly for four to six weeks; maintenance use as desired. Omnilux product page | 10–20 minutes several times per week. BON CHARGE product page |
| Regulatory wording | The manufacturer says Contour is FDA-cleared. The FDA record cited here is for the separate CLEAR acne device, not Contour. Omnilux product page FDA 510(k) record K210948 | The manufacturer says FDA and TGA have not evaluated its product claims and describes the mask as a general-use beauty product. BON CHARGE product page |
| Published warranty and returns | Two years for the device and one year for the controller. Omnilux product page | One-year manufacturer warranty and a 30-day returns/exchanges policy described on the product page. BON CHARGE product page |
Specifications are manufacturer-published figures, not independent measurements. Wavelengths, LED count, and irradiance do not by themselves establish which mask is more effective.

Which mask better matches your priorities?
Choose Omnilux if its routine and stated claims suit you
Omnilux’s published schedule is a 10-minute session, three to five times weekly during the initial four-to-six-week period. Its product page also states that Contour is FDA-cleared. Treat that as the manufacturer’s claim: the FDA record linked above is for Omnilux CLEAR, an acne device, and does not document Contour’s clearance or indication.

Omnilux says Contour is intended for users 21 and older, should be used only three to five times weekly, and is not designed to clear acne. The company identifies its separate CLEAR model for mild-to-moderate acne. Follow the current instructions for the exact model you buy. Omnilux Contour product page Omnilux FAQ

Choose BON CHARGE if its published specs or session flexibility appeal to you
BON CHARGE lists 240 LEDs and 40.8 mW/cm² irradiance and recommends sessions lasting 10–20 minutes several times a week. Those details may help you compare products and plan a routine, but they are not proof of better results than Omnilux’s published specifications. The 30-day returns/exchanges policy is subject to the company’s terms; check the policy and warranty applicable in your region before ordering. BON CHARGE product page
What do the regulatory statements establish?
Regulatory language is model-specific. The FDA 510(k) database identifies K210948 as Omnilux CLEAR, an over-the-counter light-based acne device. Its decision date was June 24, 2021, and its intended use is treatment of mild-to-moderate acne vulgaris on the face. That record is not evidence for Contour’s intended use or clearance. Rank #2
- Enhanced collagen production capability significantly reduces fine lines, wrinkles and redness, for younger-looking skin.
- Upgraded light coverage provides our famous instant glow, for a healthier, brighter and smoother complexion.
- An all-new, exclusive layout of 236 LED bulbs emits three clinically recognised wavelengths: red (633nm), near-infrared (830nm) and new deep near-infrared (1072nm).
- Revamped Best-Fit flexible liquid silicone shape, tested on thousands of faces for maximum coverage & comfort in any setting.
- Need more proof? Each mask features a unique Veritace NFC card that provides information on how your individual mask delivers results.
FDA registration and FDA clearance are not interchangeable. BON CHARGE’s product page says FDA or TGA have not evaluated its product statements and calls the mask a general-use beauty product. Consider the wording for the exact product and jurisdiction rather than treating a regulatory phrase as a head-to-head efficacy result. BON CHARGE product page
What safety and practical checks matter?
- Read the current manual for the exact model and follow its use instructions.
- BON CHARGE’s manual warns against looking directly at the LEDs or their reflection and advises consulting a doctor or physician before use. Its product FAQ also advises people with photosensitivity to consult a healthcare professional. BON CHARGE product page BON CHARGE user manual
- If you have a health condition, take medication, or have a personal concern about light exposure, ask a clinician whether use is appropriate for you.
- Check fit and coverage for your face, included accessories such as eye cups, current local price, warranty terms, and return conditions before purchasing. These can vary by buyer region and current policy.
Is either mask proven to work better?
No controlled head-to-head clinical comparison is established by the available sources. Brand specifications and product claims are not a substitute for such a trial, and reviewer impressions are anecdotal rather than clinical evidence. Choose based on the routine, fit, product terms, and claims you can verify for the exact model—not an assumed efficacy ranking.
