Will its narrow format work in your kitchen?

Measure the available opening and the route to the installation location; do not assume nominal width alone confirms fit. A 10-place-setting capacity is a published figure, but it cannot tell you whether your own plates, glasses, pots and cutlery will load comfortably. Some owner accounts praise the space-saving fit, while others describe plate-clearance or loading frustrations. Treat these as individual experiences: check rack clearances with the dishes you use most, especially if you have large plates or bulky cookware.

The specification sheet identifies residual-heat drying; it does not list fan-assisted drying. Some owners say they leave the door ajar or dry items manually, while other accounts are more favourable. These mixed reports do not establish that every unit dries the same way or that a particular outcome is guaranteed. If you expect dishes to be fully dry immediately at the end of a cycle, weigh that expectation against this drying method and the reported experiences.

Installation and routine care
Omega’s 2020 specification sheet recommends a cold-water connection and lists a 1.5 m hose, a water-pressure range of 40–1000 kPa, a 240 V/50 Hz electrical connection, and no Aquastop safety hose. These are model-sheet details, not a substitute for checking the actual unit, local installation requirements or leak-protection needs. Have a qualified installer confirm the connections and suitability for your kitchen.
The manual calls for dishwasher-specific detergent, kept fresh and dry, and says to fill the rinse-aid dispenser before first use. Rinse aid helps reduce droplets that can leave spots or streaks. The manual describes coarse, main and fine filters, recommends checking for blockage after use, and says to clean the filter assembly weekly. Follow the manual supplied with the specific appliance. Should you buy or keep an ODW300XN?
For a prospective buyer, first establish that the model is actually available and inspect the appliance’s condition. CHOICE marks it discontinued, and Omega’s product page is archived; current stock and price are not established by the existence of product or review pages. Ask the seller about service support and warranty coverage, then measure the installation space and assess rack fit using your everyday dishes.
