The Australian government register identifies the model as ELITE 12 and records registration expiry on 10 July 2029. That is a register entry date, not a statement about the unit’s service life or warranty. How well does it cool?
The published capacity is 3.5 kW, or 3.50 kW in the government register. That is the clearest basis for comparing its stated cooling output with other units, but the available sources do not give a model-specific recommended room size. Room conditions and installation also matter, so a capacity figure should not be turned into a guaranteed room-size claim.
CHOICE’s public page lists the Elite 12 but keeps its Expert Rating and detailed results—including cooling and energy-efficiency scores—behind membership. One ProductReview.com.au owner review describes useful cooling in a small room. That is a single person’s experience, not a controlled test or a reliable room-size recommendation. Retailer descriptions such as “fast and even cooling” are marketing claims, not independent performance results.
How noisy is the Elite 12?
Olimpia Splendid Australia lists 65 dB sound power for the Elite series. Sound power describes the sound emitted by the appliance; it is not the same as sound pressure measured at a particular distance in a room. CHOICE’s publicly visible page does not disclose its high-fan noise result, so the 65 dB figure should not be treated as a direct substitute for that test.

The one surfaced owner review also reports that the unit was noisy on high. It is useful as an anecdotal warning, but does not establish how loud the unit will seem in every room or at every setting.
Will the window kit fit your window?
The manufacturer and CHOICE list a window kit as included. That does not establish compatibility with every window style or opening size. Before buying, check the included kit and installation instructions against your window’s dimensions and configuration; if the opening cannot be sealed around the exhaust hose, hot air can undermine cooling.

CHOICE displayed a price of $949 when accessed in 2026. Treat that as the listing price at that time, not a guaranteed current or typical retail price. Check the retailer’s live price and stock before deciding.

Bi-Rite lists a three-year manufacturer warranty, along with three fan speeds, auto-adjust louvers, auto restart and a timer. These are retailer-published details rather than independent test findings. Confirm the warranty terms with the seller or manufacturer, including what is covered and how service is arranged.
Before purchase, weigh these model-specific considerations:
- Cooling only: choose it only if you do not need a heating mode.
- Capacity and running input: compare the 3.50 kW capacity and 1.34 cooling input in the government register with your requirements; these figures do not establish a room-size promise or your actual electricity bill.
