If you want a racing game to play without a connection, three titles in the available store listings explicitly claim offline play: GRID Autosport for circuit racing and other motorsport disciplines, Rush Rally 3 for stage rally, and Rally Horizon for open-world-style driving. That is a narrower, better-supported list than 20: a single-player label or appearance in a racing-game collection does not prove a game works offline.
Which mobile racing games explicitly list offline play?
The Google Play listings for these three games include explicit offline-play language. That is useful evidence, but it does not document every condition for disconnected use. The listings do not spell out whether every launch, mode, event, save feature, or other function works without a network connection. No hands-on offline testing is represented here.

How the three games differ
GRID Autosport: circuit racing and multiple disciplines
GRID Autosport is the option to consider if you want circuit racing rather than a rally-focused game. Its Google Play listing describes multiple motorsport disciplines and says the game supports offline play. The listing specifies Android 9.0 or later and 3.9 GB of free space; those are store-published requirements, not independent device tests. Rush Rally 3: stage rally
Rush Rally 3 is the clearest fit for rally stages. Brownmonster’s Google Play description advertises more than 72 stages, as well as career and rallycross modes, customizable controls, and offline play. The stage count is a publisher-listed figure, not an independent count. Google Play presents it as a paid app in the region consulted; price and availability can differ by country. Rally Horizon: open-world-style driving
Rally Horizon combines open-world-style driving with career events. Its Google Play listing says it is fully playable offline and describes more than 80 career levels. The US App Store lists an iPhone and iPad version with an app size of 949.9 MB. That is the store’s listed app size, not a promise about the total space required after updates or additional downloads. See the Rally Horizon US App Store listing.

Why this is not a verified list of 20
The title’s number should not be mistaken for evidence that 20 games have been checked for offline play on both mobile platforms. The official material available supports explicit offline claims for the three games above; it does not support a longer verified list.
For example, EA’s Real Racing 3 page confirms Android and iOS availability and describes officially licensed tracks and cars, but it does not establish offline play. Likewise, Apple’s racing-game collection features titles including GRID Legends, Wreckfest, Riptide GP: Renegade, and Beach Buggy Racing 2; inclusion in a collection is not proof that any of them works without a connection. How to check offline play before downloading
Offline support is separate from a game having a single-player mode. A store listing’s offline claim is a useful starting point, but it may not explain first-run setup, server checks, online events, cloud saves, leaderboards, or multiplayer.
- Check the listing in your region. Confirm the game appears in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store you use, and review its current compatibility, price, storage information, and offline wording.
- Read what the claim covers. Look for wording that explicitly says offline play is supported. Do not treat “single-player” or a mention in an editorial collection as equivalent.
- Plan for setup while connected. Install and open the game online before relying on it during travel or somewhere without service. The listings cited here do not establish whether first launch or additional downloads require a connection.
- Check the features you need. If you care about a particular career mode, saved progress, event, or controller, confirm that feature’s requirements separately; broad offline wording does not guarantee every feature works disconnected.
- Verify before leaving coverage. After setup, try launching the game and accessing the intended mode with the device disconnected. This is the practical way to check your own device and version; no such test is claimed here.
What to compare before choosing
- Racing style: Choose GRID Autosport for circuits and varied disciplines, Rush Rally 3 for stage rally, or Rally Horizon for open-world-style driving and career events.
- Platform: The evidence here supports both Android and iOS store availability for Rush Rally 3 and Rally Horizon, while the cited GRID Autosport listing is for Android.
