HWiNFO v8.54 adds ASIC Quality reporting for newer NVIDIA GPUs. The displayed percentage is described as a model-relative conversion of NVIDIA’s hardware-defined SPEEDO value—not a direct measure of frame rate, benchmark performance, or how well a card will overclock. To view it, open HWiNFO’s main hardware information window rather than Sensors-only mode.
What the HWiNFO ASIC Quality percentage represents
HWiNFO’s official version history lists v8.54, released September 30, 2026, with the note: “Added reporting of ASIC Quality for newer NVIDIA GPUs.” A contemporary VideoCardz report describes the percentage as being derived from NVIDIA’s hardware-defined SPEEDO value, with a range defined relative to the particular GPU model.
In practical terms, it is a software presentation of a hardware value in percentage form. The sources characterize it as reflecting factory voltage and frequency characteristics, but do not publish the conversion formula, the model-specific boundaries, or a complete list of compatible GPUs. Those details cannot be inferred from the percentage alone.

- Open HWiNFO in its full hardware-information view. If you start the program in Sensors-only mode, turn that mode off; the reported percentage is in the main hardware information window, according to the VideoCardz report.
- Inspect the GPU’s information in the main window. HWiNFO’s earlier official v7.22 announcement placed NVIDIA ASIC Manufacturer information under Video Adapter, which is useful navigation context. It does not establish that the newer percentage appears at exactly that tree location in every version.
If you do not see the percentage, the changelog’s wording limits the addition to “newer NVIDIA GPUs”; the checked sources do not provide a compatibility list. They also do not establish a universal tree path for the field.

- AI Performance: 767 AI TOPS
- OC mode: 2632 MHz (OC mode)/ 2602 MHz (Default mode)
- Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4
- Axial-tech fan design features a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure
- A 2.5-slot design maximizes compatibility and cooling efficiency for superior performance in small chassis
What the percentage does—and does not—tell you
It is model-relative, not a cross-model score
Because the reported range is defined for a GPU model, comparing percentages across different GPU models is not established as meaningful. A percentage is not an FPS figure or benchmark result, and it should not be read as a universal ranking of graphics cards.
It is not a guarantee of gaming or overclocking results
The official changelog establishes that HWiNFO can report the value for newer NVIDIA GPUs. It does not say that a high percentage guarantees higher gaming performance, lower temperatures, or better overclocking headroom. Treat it as a reported hardware characteristic, not a buying verdict or a substitute for measured performance.

How this differs from HWiNFO’s older NVIDIA reporting
ASIC Quality reporting in HWiNFO is not entirely new. The official v5.30 release notes, dated June 1, 2016, say reporting was added for NVIDIA Fermi, Kepler, and Maxwell GPUs. The v8.54 changelog concerns an addition for newer NVIDIA GPUs and is best understood as an extension, not the first time HWiNFO reported ASIC Quality.

A separate HWiNFO v7.22 announcement, dated March 30, 2022, added reporting of NVIDIA ASIC Manufacturer. That is a different piece of information from the newer SPEEDO-derived ASIC Quality percentage.

Release status and the beta-version discrepancy
The official version history assigns the newer-GPU ASIC Quality addition to HWiNFO v8.54, released September 30, 2026. VideoCardz describes the feature as appearing in beta v8.55 build 6093. Since those accounts differ, the official history is the clearer release-status reference; the secondary beta/build claim alone is not a reason to conclude that v8.55 is required.
