Short answer: The Nubia V90 Pro is not an officially announced phone as of October 18, 2026. Leak reports show a 6.75-inch display, claimed peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits, a 108MP main camera, up to 512GB of storage, a 7.7mm body, USB-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Nubia has not confirmed charging speed, battery capacity, processor, RAM, software-support duration, regional 5G bands, price, release date, or the number behind its reported IP rating.
That makes the V90 Pro a product to monitor rather than a phone you can confidently buy or match to a carrier today. The specifications below come from leaked promotional material and have not been independently verified in laboratory testing.
What is the Nubia V90 Pro’s current status?
No official Nubia product announcement or launch page for the V90 Pro has been identified. Notebookcheck’s coverage likewise reports no confirmed release date, price, or availability. Nubia’s global product page does not list the model.

Until Nubia publishes a product page, treat every V90 Pro specification as provisional. In particular, do not use the leak to order accessories, select a charger, or decide whether the phone will work on a specific network.

The 6.75-inch, 1,000-nit, 108MP, 512GB and 7.7mm figures should therefore be read as claims from leaked marketing material, not guaranteed characteristics of a retail unit.

There is no published charging wattage, charging protocol or confirmed in-box charger for the V90 Pro. A charging time cannot be calculated responsibly without those details, the battery capacity and information about the phone’s charging curve.

Do not infer V90 Pro charging performance from the V80 Pro, another Nubia phone, the USB-C connector, or the 7.7mm thickness. USB-C describes the connector shape; it does not by itself identify USB Power Delivery, a proprietary fast-charge system, the maximum wattage or the charger included in the box.
What to check when Nubia announces it
- Look for a maximum wired-wattage figure and the name of the supported charging standard.
- Check whether the quoted speed applies to a specific regional model and charger.
- Confirm whether a compatible charger is included or sold separately.
- Read the footnote for test conditions, such as starting battery level, screen state and temperature.
- Check for wireless charging, reverse charging and charge-protection settings if those features matter to you.
Until those facts appear on an official specification page or manual, any claim that the V90 Pro charges at a particular number of watts is speculation.
How many Android updates will the Nubia V90 Pro get?
Nubia has not announced an Android-version commitment or security-patch schedule for the V90 Pro. The company’s general support area provides ZTEOS update downloads, guides, troubleshooting and service-center information, but it does not state how many major Android releases or how many years of security updates the V90 Pro will receive. Availability of support material can vary by country or region.
This means buyers cannot yet compare the V90 Pro’s support life with another phone using an official promise. The launch page should identify the Android version and ZTEOS version at release, the number of major operating-system upgrades, the security-update period, and whether the policy differs by market or model number.

How to verify support after launch
- Record the exact regional model number from the product page or the phone’s “About phone” screen.
- Read the warranty or support-policy page for that model, not only a retailer’s summary.
- Check whether the stated period begins at launch, first sale or another date.
- Confirm the expected update channel for your country and carrier.
- Use Nubia’s support downloads to check that firmware for your model is actually published in your region.
Until Nubia makes that policy explicit, the V90 Pro’s update longevity is unknown.
Which 5G bands will the Nubia V90 Pro support?
The V90 Pro’s regional 5G bands have not been published. Nubia’s official frequency table lists other phones, including the V80 Pro and V80 Max, but not the V90 Pro. Their band lists cannot be substituted for the unannounced model.
Carrier compatibility depends on the phone’s exact regional variant, modem capabilities and the frequencies deployed where you live. A phone can support 5G in one country and lack a carrier’s primary band in another. It may also fall back to LTE if a required 5G band is absent, or require carrier certification for features such as voice over 5G.
How to check compatibility once specifications exist
- Get the carrier’s current 5G and LTE band list for your plan and location.
- Find the V90 Pro model number sold in your country; do not rely on a similarly named import.
- Compare the official band table line by line, including frequency ranges and standalone or non-standalone support where listed.
- Ask the carrier whether that model is approved for its network, voice service and emergency calling.
- Confirm SIM, eSIM and band-combination support if you depend on dual-SIM service or roaming.
Until Nubia publishes the table and carriers confirm approval, the V90 Pro should be considered 5G-unverified for any specific network.

Is the Nubia V90 Pro waterproof or IP68?
The leaks mention an IP protection rating and drop resistance, but they do not provide the rating number or test conditions. It is therefore not accurate to call the V90 Pro IP68, IP69 or waterproof.
An IP code has two digits. The first describes protection against solid particles, while the second describes resistance to water under defined laboratory conditions. The number does not mean a phone is permanently waterproof, and it does not cover every liquid, pressure, temperature or type of damage. A rating can also depend on intact seals, a closed port cover and a phone that has not been dropped or repaired.
What the official durability details should include
- The complete IP code and the standard used for testing.
- Whether the test covers fresh water only and the permitted depth or duration.
- Any exclusions for salt water, pools, beverages, steam, high-pressure spray or charging while wet.
- Whether drop resistance is a certified test, an internal claim or a separate accessory requirement.
- The warranty treatment for liquid ingress and accidental impact.
Until those details are published, keep the phone away from deliberate submersion and allow any wet USB-C port to dry before connecting a cable. Drop resistance should not be treated as a promise that every fall will leave the phone undamaged.

When is the Nubia V90 Pro coming out?
No release date has been confirmed. There is also no verified price, sales region or availability schedule. The absence of a V90 Pro listing on Nubia’s global product page means that a retailer page, social-media image or import listing should not be treated as proof of an official launch.

A genuine launch announcement should establish the countries receiving the phone, regional model numbers, memory and color combinations, prices and currencies, preorder timing, shipping dates and warranty coverage. Those details matter because specifications such as storage, 5G bands, charger contents and software support can differ between regions.
What should prospective buyers wait to confirm?
These are the decision-critical items that remain open. They should be checked against Nubia’s official product page, manual and regional carrier information when available.

Should you wait for the V90 Pro?
Waiting makes sense if you specifically want the leaked combination of a large 6.75-inch screen, a 108MP main camera, 512GB of storage, a thin 7.7mm body and a headphone jack. Those features are the strongest evidence currently available, but they are not enough to judge performance, battery life, network support or long-term value.
Do not buy based on the rumor if you need a phone immediately, require a known 5G band combination, depend on a guaranteed update period, or need a certified water-resistance level. In those cases, choose a model with an official specification sheet and support policy instead of treating the V90 Pro leak as a commitment.
The practical verdict is straightforward: the V90 Pro remains an unannounced, leak-only product. Its charging speed, Android-update count, carrier bands and exact water-resistance rating are all unknown, and its launch date, price and availability have not been confirmed.
