The clearest reported candidate for Nothing’s next major product is a pair of AI-enhanced smart glasses. Bloomberg reported on March 31, 2026, that the company was targeting the first half of 2027. Nothing has not publicly confirmed the product name, specifications, price, launch markets or an event date.
What is Nothing expected to launch next?
Nothing appears to be moving beyond its established phone-and-audio lineup toward an AI-native wearable. The most specific report comes from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who wrote on March 31, 2026, that Nothing was developing artificial-intelligence-enhanced smart glasses and planning a release during the first half of 2027, citing people familiar with the matter.
The same report says Nothing is also working on AI-focused earbuds for later in 2026. That makes the glasses the more dramatic change in product category, but neither device has been announced as a retail product.

Why smart glasses fit Nothing’s AI strategy
Nothing’s official strategy is broader than one pair of glasses. Its Series C announcement describes a possible operating-system direction spanning smartphones, audio products and smart watches, with future applications that could include smart glasses, humanoid robots and electric vehicles. The company says it expects to launch “some of our first AI-native devices” in 2026.
Nothing says it generated more than $1 billion in total sales in 2025 and grew 150% in 2024. Its current About page describes a community of more than six million people, over 30 product releases and operations in more than 60 countries. Those figures show a company with a growing hardware base, but they do not confirm that a glasses product is ready for every market.

From apps to intentions
At SXSW, in comments reported by TechCrunch on March 18, 2026, co-founder and chief executive Carl Pei argued that software should require fewer manual app steps. He said, “In terms of AI in software, I think people should understand that apps are going to disappear.”
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Pei’s stated goal is an agent that understands a user’s intention and carries it out instead of making the user open several apps, transfer information and complete each action separately. He described the current phone experience as difficult for getting things done and said a future operating system should know the user well enough to execute a confirmed request.

- 【AI Real-Time Translation & ChatGPT Assistant】AI glasses break language barriers instantly with AI real-time translation. The built-in ChatGPT voice assistant helps you communicate, learn, and handle travel or business conversations smoothly—ideal for conferences, overseas trips, and daily use.
- 【4K Ultra HD】 Smart glasses feature 4K resolution for clear, detailed visuals, making them suitable for travel, outdoor activities, everyday moments, and daily use.
- 【Bluetooth Music & Hands-Free Calls 】Smart glasses provide Bluetooth music and crystal-clear hands-free calls with an open-ear design. Stay aware of your surroundings while listening—comfortable for long wear and safer for commuting, cycling, and outdoor use.
- 【IP65 Waterproof & Long Battery Life】 AI glasses are designed for daily wear with IP65 waterproof protection against sweat, rain, and dust. The built-in 290mAh battery provides reliable performance for workdays and travel—no anxiety when you’re on the go.
- 【Smart App Control & Object Recognition】Smart glasses connect to the companion app for easy setup, file management, and feature control. They support AI object recognition to help identify items and improve your daily efficiency—perfect for travel exploration and a smart lifestyle.
That philosophy naturally suits glasses. A wearable can remain available while the user is walking, cooking or handling a task, providing audio, a camera or a small display without requiring a phone screen at every step. Nothing’s strategy post similarly describes systems that adapt to context, surface suggestions and let agents execute confirmed intent.
What the proposed experience could involve
Nothing has not published a user interface or hardware specification. Pei’s comments and the strategy material nevertheless indicate the type of interaction the company is pursuing:

- State an intention. The user could express a goal conversationally rather than opening a sequence of dedicated apps.
- Use surrounding context. A wearable could potentially combine voice input with information about the user’s situation. Whether Nothing’s product will include a camera, display or other sensors is not confirmed.
- Let an agent coordinate actions. The agent would interpret the request and work across services instead of merely presenting another app launcher.
- Confirm consequential actions. Nothing’s strategy refers to agents executing confirmed intent. Permissions, data retention and safeguards will determine what the system can do automatically.
This is a product-direction description, not a list of promised features. Reliability, latency, phone dependence and offline operation cannot be judged until Nothing publishes technical details.

How to evaluate the eventual device
When Nothing provides specifications, the important comparison is not simply whether the glasses have an AI label. Check these practical questions:
- Comfort and form factor: weight, balance, heat, fit and whether ordinary or prescription lenses are supported.
- Context capture: what sensors are present, when they activate and how clearly recording is indicated to people nearby.
- AI reliability: response speed, factual accuracy, handling of ambiguous requests and behavior when an internet connection fails.
- Permissions and privacy: where recordings and transcripts are processed, how long they are retained and which actions require confirmation.
- Phone dependence: whether the glasses can work independently or require a Nothing phone, another Android phone or a constant data connection.
- Nothing OS integration: which existing phones, earbuds and watches receive support and for how long.
- Battery and charging: real-world operating time, charging case capacity and the effect of camera, display and audio use.
- Ecosystem compatibility: support for third-party services and whether the agent can complete actions outside Nothing’s own products.
- Availability and price: launch countries, taxes, subscriptions and replacement costs for lenses or charging accessories.
What the 2026 timeline means for buyers
Nothing’s February 17, 2026 interview with Euronews provides the clearest near-term signal: Pei said 2026 would be the first year in which the company began delivering some AI-native product ideas. His comments also put extra emphasis on the audio headphone category, consistent with a possible AI-earbud release later in the year.
The reported glasses target sits in the first half of 2027, so buyers should not treat a 2026 phone or earbud purchase as proof that glasses are imminent, nor assume that existing accessories will be compatible. Nothing has not announced an upgrade policy or a supported-device list.
Bottom line for readers following Nothing
AI-enhanced smart glasses are the strongest reported answer to the question of what Nothing is launching beyond phones and audio. The idea aligns with Nothing’s stated ambition to build AI-native devices and with Pei’s vision of agents acting on intentions instead of forcing users through app menus. The first-half-of-2027 timing comes from Bloomberg’s unnamed sources, while the name, specifications, price, markets and launch event remain unconfirmed. Treat any detailed feature list or retail claim as speculation until Nothing publishes it.
