The vivo V70 is the stronger on-paper fit for telephoto portraits, battery capacity and faster wired charging; the Nothing Phone (4a) offers a larger listed screen. Neither spec sheet proves which phone takes better photos or lasts longer in everyday use, and the available prices are not a matched pair. Choose by priorities, then compare the same memory configuration in your country.

Specification figures and the IP ratings in this table come from the secondary Gadgets 360 comparison listing, which may combine regional variants. vivo also advertises the V70’s 6500mAh battery, 90W charging and ZEISS camera features on its V70 product page. Nothing promotes the Phone (4a)’s camera system and zoom on its Phone (4a) product page. Confirm specifications for the exact regional SKU before buying.
Which phone is better for your priorities?
Choose the vivo V70 for telephoto portraits and charging specifications
vivo highlights a 50MP ZEISS telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and its listed battery and wired charging figures are higher than the Phone (4a)’s. Those specifications make the V70 the more compelling paper choice if optical telephoto reach, advertised portrait tools, battery capacity or charging rate matter most. They do not establish superior photo quality, longer real-world battery life or actual charging times.

Choose the Nothing Phone (4a) for a larger listed display
The Phone (4a)’s listed screen measures 6.78 inches, compared with 6.59 inches for the V70. The resolution figures are close, though the sources describe them differently: vivo calls the V70 display 1.5K OLED. The Nothing product page also presents its distinct design and Nothing OS; the choice between the software experiences is personal, and the available specifications do not establish how long either phone will receive updates.

Consider size and durability claims carefully
The comparison listing makes the V70 smaller, thinner and lighter. It also reports IP69 for the V70 and IP64 for the Phone (4a), but those ratings should not decide a purchase until verified against the exact model sold in your market and its official certification. Do not assume ratings or physical specifications apply identically to every regional version.
Do not infer a performance winner from processor names
The listed chips are Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 in the Phone (4a) and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 in the V70. Their names alone are not a reliable measure of which phone performs better in games or everyday tasks; no comparable benchmark results are established here.

What is the price difference?
There is no defensible universal price difference from the available figures because they do not pair the same country, storage tier and seller type. Nothing’s UK product page showed a blue 12GB+256GB Phone (4a) at £449 when accessed in 2026. That is a time-sensitive UK listing, not a global price or a matched V70 price. Gadgets 360 lists both phones as launched in India, with secondary-source release dates of March 5, 2026 for the Phone (4a) and February 19, 2026 for the V70, but its extracted comparison data does not establish a reliable current price pair.

To work out which is the better buy, compare live prices in your country for the same RAM and storage, and distinguish official list prices from retailer offers. Also check the seller, warranty, network-band support and included accessories. A UK Phone (4a) price cannot be subtracted from an Indian V70 price to produce a meaningful difference.

What to check before buying
- Confirm the exact regional model and its supported network bands.
- Match RAM and storage before comparing prices.
- Verify local warranty coverage and the seller’s return terms.
- Check the official certification and specifications for the precise SKU, especially if water resistance matters.
- Confirm what is included in the box. vivo lists a phone case and pre-applied protective film, but check the local V70 package rather than assuming every market has the same contents.
- For camera quality, gaming, battery endurance and update support, look for comparable independent testing or official support terms; the specifications above do not settle those questions.
