A price snapshot captured on 7 October 2026 showed a substantial gap, but the displayed amounts came from different listings and are not guaranteed live prices.

Both are specified for refresh rates up to 120 Hz, and Nothing describes its refresh rate as adaptive. Those numbers describe panel specifications; they do not establish which screen looks better to an individual or how either performs outdoors.

Camera hardware: more roles on the Nothing
Nothing lists three distinct rear-camera roles: a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, a 50 MP telephoto camera offering 2× optical zoom, and an 8 MP ultra-wide. vivo lists a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP secondary rear camera. Both phones have a stated 32 MP front camera.
The Phone (3a)’s telephoto and ultra-wide specifications give it more listed rear-camera options, but megapixel counts and camera roles alone do not establish image quality. Sensor performance, software processing, and shooting conditions matter, and this comparison does not include comparative photo testing.
Battery capacity and charging are different trade-offs
vivo specifies a 7,050 mAh battery and 44 W charging for the S2; Nothing specifies 5,000 mAh and 50 W for the Phone (3a). The S2 therefore has the higher rated capacity, while the Phone (3a) has the higher stated wired-charging wattage. Neither capacity nor charging wattage establishes real-world battery life or actual time to charge.

Processors and durability
The Phone (3a) uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, while the S2 uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7360-Turbo. Chip names alone are not enough to establish which phone will feel faster in everyday use or perform better in demanding apps; a meaningful comparison would need independent testing on the relevant software versions.
Nothing specifies an IP64 rating for the Phone (3a). That rating is not a promise that the phone is waterproof or that accidental damage is covered. The retrieved S2 specification extract does not confirm a dust or water rating, which should not be read as proof that the phone has no protection. Check the exact regional version’s official specifications before relying on one.
India price difference: treat the figures as dated snapshots
A 91mobiles comparison page displayed ₹24,999 for the Nothing Phone (3a) and ₹39,940 for the vivo S2 5G when captured on 7 October 2026. That is a ₹14,941 difference between the two displayed figures, not a verified like-for-like offer or a durable market price. The Nothing figure came from a third-party comparison page, not Nothing’s official product page.

Box contents and buying checks
Nothing Support lists the Phone (3a)’s box contents as the phone, Type-C cable, safety information, a pre-applied screen protector, and SIM tray ejector. Quick Recap
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Nothing Phone (3a) if the listed telephoto and ultra-wide rear cameras, IP64 rating, or lower displayed comparison-page price are more relevant to you. The price is only a dated snapshot, not a guaranteed current offer.
- Choose the vivo S2 5G if the larger, higher-resolution display or higher rated battery capacity is more important to you. Its price varied across the cited listings, so compare the exact configuration and current seller offer.
- Compare further before choosing if processor speed, camera quality, battery endurance, or water protection is decisive. The listed specifications alone do not settle those real-world questions.
