The realme GT 7T has the stronger paper specifications for battery capacity, charging speed and processor tier; the Nothing Phone (3a) has a clearly specified dedicated 2x optical telephoto camera. Neither set of specifications alone establishes which phone lasts longer, performs better in sustained use or takes better photos. There is no reliable current price gap without comparing the same market, storage configuration and seller on the same date.

These are manufacturer-published specifications, not results from matched independent tests. Nothing’s regional pages can differ in configuration and presentation; the India page currently shows an 8GB+128GB selection and a retail link (Nothing India product page).

Which phone is better for performance?
On paper, the GT 7T has the higher-positioned processor: realme lists the Dimensity 8400-MAX, while Nothing specifies the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. That makes the GT 7T the more compelling starting point for buyers prioritizing processor class, but it does not prove a particular gaming frame rate or faster everyday experience. Sustained performance varies with software, temperature, workload and test conditions.
A third-party comparison page reports benchmark figures, but those test methods have not been independently validated here. Treat them as that page’s results, not universal performance guarantees. For a serious gaming comparison, look for tests of the exact regional models using the same game version, graphics settings, duration and thermal conditions.

Which has the better camera?
The clearest hardware advantage is the Phone (3a)’s dedicated 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. Optical zoom uses a separate camera module rather than relying only on a crop from the main sensor, giving the Nothing a specified camera option that is useful for framing distant subjects at that zoom level.
That does not establish an overall photo-quality winner. realme’s reviewed pages mention rear and front 4K 60fps video capabilities, but do not provide a full camera-system breakdown directly comparable with Nothing’s. Megapixel counts and feature claims cannot substitute for matched photo and video samples across daylight, low light, portraits and stabilization.
Battery and charging: GT 7T has the larger numbers
realme lists a 7000mAh typical battery and 120W charging for the GT 7T; its India page also gives a 6850mAh rated capacity. Nothing lists a 5000mAh battery and 50W charging for the Phone (3a). Those figures give the GT 7T the larger stated capacity and faster stated charging, but capacity and charging wattage do not directly translate into a specific number of extra hours or minutes saved in daily use.

Runtime depends on screen brightness, mobile signal, apps, refresh rate and other settings. Buyers who need a dependable endurance ranking should consult comparable independent tests of both exact models, rather than infer runtime from capacity alone.

Both phones are specified with high-refresh AMOLED displays, and Nothing lists the Phone (3a) at 6.77 inches and 120Hz. Nothing states up to 3000 nits, while realme promotes up to 6000 nits local peak brightness for the GT 7T under a stated 100,000-lux condition. The two peak figures may use different methods and conditions, so they are not a sound direct measure of which screen is easier to read outdoors or looks brighter in ordinary use.
For a practical display decision, prioritize comparable independent measurements of sustained brightness, outdoor readability, color and reflections. The published headline peak values are vendor claims, not a side-by-side test.
What is the price difference?
A current price difference cannot be responsibly stated without a market, exact RAM and storage configuration, seller and date. A 91mobiles comparison page showed India listings of ₹24,999 for Phone (3a) and ₹38,589 for GT 7T when its page was crawled, but those are volatile listing figures and may represent different configurations or offers. Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Phone (3a) if a specified dedicated telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom is a priority, or if its current same-market price and configuration suit you better.
- Lean toward the GT 7T if the larger stated battery, faster stated charging or its higher-positioned processor specification matters most to you.
- Compare independent tests before deciding if your main concern is real battery life, sustained gaming, screen visibility outdoors or camera quality. The manufacturer figures in this comparison do not settle those real-world questions.
Software-support periods are not included as a deciding specification here: the third-party comparison lists update durations, but those figures were not confirmed against official regional policy pages. Check the relevant manufacturer policy for the exact model and market before relying on a support term.
