What is the difference between their displays?
Both manufacturers list an FHD+ AMOLED-class screen with a refresh rate up to 120 Hz. Nothing specifies a 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED display, while Samsung gives the M47’s diagonal as 16.91 cm across the full rectangle, or a 6.7-inch class display, with a 1080 × 2340 resolution. The modest difference in stated diagonal does not establish which screen looks better or is brighter in everyday use.

Nothing’s India page advertises 3,000 nits peak brightness and frames that figure as a comparison with the Phone (2a) Plus. It is a manufacturer claim, not a matched measurement against the Galaxy M47 5G. The listed refresh rate likewise does not establish that the two phones behave identically in every app or use condition.
Which phone has the more useful camera setup?
Choose based on the camera capability you are most likely to use, rather than the total number of rear-camera lenses or megapixels. Nothing lists a dedicated telephoto camera with 2× optical zoom; Samsung lists 5 MP and 2 MP additional rear cameras alongside its 50 MP camera. The published specifications do not establish the image quality of either phone, and no matched independent camera test is available here.
- For optical zoom: Nothing explicitly lists 2× optical zoom on its 50 MP telephoto camera.
- For front-camera resolution: Nothing lists a 32 MP front camera; Samsung lists 12 MP. Resolution alone does not prove that selfies will look better.
- For the main rear camera: Nothing specifies OIS on its 50 MP main camera. Samsung lists OIS for its 50 MP + 5 MP + 2 MP rear-camera system.
Does the Galaxy M47 5G battery last longer, or does Nothing charge faster?
Samsung lists a 6,000 mAh typical battery, 1,000 mAh more than Nothing’s listed 5,000 mAh capacity. That capacity difference does not prove the M47 will last longer for a particular person: Samsung says battery life varies with usage, network conditions and other factors.

Nothing lists 50 W charging and Samsung 45 W. Those wattage figures do not establish actual charging times under the same conditions. Samsung also says the fast charger is sold separately, so include any needed charger in the cost of ownership.
Which phone has the clearer software-support commitment?
Samsung states that the Galaxy M47 5G receives six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates, measured from its first global launch date. The Samsung India page lists a launch date of 29 June 2026 and security-update validity through 31 July 2032; Samsung notes that its policy may change. The cited Nothing India product page does not establish a directly comparable update commitment. That means the support comparison is incomplete—not proof that Nothing offers no updates. If support duration is a deciding factor, check Nothing’s current policy for the exact product before purchase.

What is the price difference in India?
A dependable current gap cannot be calculated from the available price information. Nothing’s India page shows an 8+128 GB configuration and links to Flipkart; Samsung’s India pages cover 6 GB and 8 GB memory variants, but their accessed price fields did not resolve to numeric prices. Prices shown in comparison listings vary by configuration and may be stale, so they are not a sound basis for saying which phone is cheaper.

Choose Samsung Galaxy M47 5G if…
- You value the higher stated typical battery capacity, while understanding it does not guarantee longer use between charges.
- You want the listed six OS-upgrade generations and six years of security updates, subject to Samsung’s policy caveat.
- You are comfortable accounting separately for a fast charger, which Samsung says is sold separately.
Before buying either phone, confirm the exact RAM and storage configuration, current seller and price, and any included charger or promotional conditions. The published specifications identify trade-offs, but they do not substitute for comparable battery, camera or charging tests.
