In Nothing’s US collection snapshot accessed October 7, 2026, the Phone (3) was listed at $549 on sale and the Phone (4a) Pro at $419, a $130 difference. That dated sale-price comparison is not a permanent gap: Nothing’s checkout page showed a different Phone (3) price state, and prices vary by market and configuration. The extra spend buys a higher-tier listed processor and a four-camera system on the Phone (3); the less expensive 4a Pro has a detailed high-refresh display and battery specification, plus a periscope camera with manufacturer-claimed zoom reach.

Price: the observed US sale gap is $130

Nothing’s US collection showed the Phone (3) for $549, reduced from $699, and the Phone (4a) Pro for $419, reduced from $499, when accessed on October 7, 2026. The $130 difference is between those displayed sale prices, not a stable list-price difference or a quote for another country. Nothing’s US Phone (3) checkout separately showed $699 reduced from $799, demonstrating that displayed prices can differ between store pages or variants. What the Phone (3)’s higher price buys

A different processor tier on paper

Nothing identifies the Phone (3) processor as Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and the 4a Pro processor as Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Those chip names distinguish the listed hardware, but they do not establish how much faster one phone is in everyday use, gaming, or sustained workloads. No model-specific independent performance testing is available in the sources used here.

Four 50 MP cameras

Nothing describes the Phone (3) as having four 50 MP cameras. That is a hardware-count and resolution claim, not proof that every camera produces equally detailed images or that the phone takes better photos than the 4a Pro. Image quality also depends on optics, sensor behavior, processing, and shooting conditions; the listed megapixel counts alone do not settle the comparison.

Glyph Interface and Essential Search

Nothing’s regional Phone (3) page also highlights its Glyph Interface and Essential Search. These are part of Nothing’s own product description; the retrieved specifications do not quantify how much they improve daily use or establish a direct equivalent comparison with the 4a Pro.

What stands out on the Phone (4a) Pro

Display details are clearer in the available specifications

Nothing lists a 6.83-inch 1.5K flexible AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate up to 144 Hz. The retrieved official Phone (3) pages do not provide enough comparable display detail to say which screen is better or to make a like-for-like specification comparison.

A specified battery and charging rate

The US 4a Pro page lists a 5,080 mAh battery and 50 W fast charging. It lists 5,400 mAh for the India variant, so the larger capacity should not be applied to the US model. The retrieved Phone (3) pages do not establish comparable battery or charging figures.

Spigen Ultra Hybrid Designed for Nothing Phone 3 Case (2025) [Anti-Yellowing] - Zero One
  • Hybrid technology that is made of a TPU bumper with a durable PC back
  • Crystal clear transparency flaunts original phone design
  • Raised bezels lift screen and camera off flat surfaces
  • Pronounced buttons are easy to feel and press, while large cutouts fit most cables
  • Spigen Ultra Hybrid Case Compatible with Nothing Phone (3)

Periscope camera and zoom claims

The 4a Pro has a three-camera system that includes a 50 MP OIS main camera and a 50 MP OIS periscope camera. Nothing advertises 3.5x optical zoom and up to 140x ultra zoom. The 140x figure is a manufacturer claim about maximum zoom, not an independent image-quality finding; maximum digital zoom and optical zoom are not equivalent. A larger advertised zoom number by itself does not show which phone produces better pictures.

Storage, software, and buying by market

Check the exact storage SKU

The US Phone (3) checkout lists 12+256 GB and 16+512 GB configurations. The US 4a Pro page showed an 8+128 GB option at the observed sale price, while identifying a 12+256 GB version at $599 in another product variant. Do not assume the headline 4a Pro sale price applies to every storage option. Confirm the color, memory, and selected variant on the checkout page.

These are manufacturer-published details; check the current device build and country-specific terms when purchasing. The retrieved Phone (3) sources do not support a like-for-like update-support comparison.

Which phone should you choose?

  • Choose Phone (3) if you value its Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 listing, four-camera setup, Glyph Interface, or Essential Search enough to pay the observed US sale premium. The available specifications do not establish a tested speed or photography advantage.
  • Choose Phone (4a) Pro if the listed 6.83-inch 144 Hz display, specified 5,080 mAh US battery with 50 W charging, and periscope camera suit your priorities at its observed US sale price. Treat the 140x zoom as Nothing’s claim, not a guarantee of useful image quality at that magnification.
  • Compare the checkout totals if storage matters: the shown 4a Pro 8+128 GB sale configuration is not the same capacity as either Phone (3) option, and the 4a Pro 12+256 GB variant was listed at a different price.
