Nothing’s Headphone (1) stands out for its transparent, cassette-inspired design, and reviewers have praised its sound and noise cancellation. But the advertised saving of up to 48% is not verified by the dated offers available here. Nothing’s US catalog lists Headphone (1) at $299; a US deal report listed it at $189 on October 6, 2026, a reported 37% saving—not 48%. Prices and offers vary by market and date.
Is Nothing Headphone (1) worth considering?
It is a distinctive-looking over-ear headphone with a strong feature set, but its design is not its only trade-off. What Hi-Fi? describes the cassette-like earcups and transparent styling as unusual among competitors, while its reviewers found the comfort mixed and the weight distribution less convincing. The review lists its weight at 329g and notes that it does not fold fully, which may matter if you carry headphones in a bag every day. What Hi-Fi?’s review is an independent assessment, not a guarantee that the fit will suit every listener.
For sound, What Hi-Fi? reports support for AAC, SBC and LDAC over Bluetooth, plus wired USB-C audio up to 24-bit/96kHz. A 3.5mm connection is also available, but the headphones must remain switched on when using it. The review reports battery life of up to 80 hours with ANC off and 35 hours with ANC on; treat those as reported figures, not a promise of the same result in every listening setup.

That score is the publication’s rating, not a universal verdict. For a buying decision, weigh sound preference and noise cancellation against comfort, portability and the price you can actually get.

What does Nothing sell, and how do the models differ?
Nothing’s US catalog lists three over-ear models. These are catalog prices, not guaranteed sale prices; check the listing for your market before buying. Nothing’s US audio catalog lists the following:
| Model | US catalog price | What the available evidence says |
|---|---|---|
| Headphone (a) | $199 | Lower-priced model in the US catalog; Japan’s October 2026 autumn sale also included it. |
| Headphone (1) | $299 | Transparent, cassette-inspired styling; LDAC, ANC and wired USB-C audio are reported in What Hi-Fi?’s review. |
| Headphone (1) Pro | $399 | TechRadar describes a higher-end tier with three drivers per ear cup, adaptive ANC, Bluetooth 6.0 with LDAC, USB-C and Auracast. |
TechRadar reports that Headphone (1) Pro launched September 28, 2026, at $399, £349 and AU$699. Its reviewers found the sound and ANC very good and the design striking, while noting the price premium over the other Nothing models. The same review reports up to 68 hours of battery with ANC off or 30 hours with ANC on. These are the publication’s reported product figures and assessment, not independent measurements here. What discounts have actually been reported?
There is no single worldwide offer, and a dated deal is not evidence of a future Black Friday price. The reports below refer to different markets and dates. Confirm the current price, seller and stock in your region before treating any figure as available.

The cited US catalog, US and UK deal reports, and Japanese sale announcement do not substantiate a 48% discount on Headphone (1) or Nothing headphones generally. The verified US report above was 37%; the Japanese autumn-sale reductions were about 25% and 29% for the two listed models. A different product, region, reference price or later promotion could change the calculation, so a 48% claim needs a specific live offer to support it.

How to decide whether the deal is good for you
- Check the exact model. Headphone (1), Headphone (a) and Headphone (1) Pro are different products at different catalog prices; make sure a deal applies to the one you want.
- Compare like with like. Check the current price in your own country against the seller’s reference price. Do not treat a US discount as evidence of a UK or Japanese offer.
- Prioritize fit and portability. Headphone (1)’s weight and limited folding may be drawbacks if comfort over long sessions or compact packing matters most.
- Match features to your listening. Consider whether you will use ANC, LDAC or wired USB-C audio, and whether the reported battery figures suit your routine.
- Compare alternatives on current terms. What Hi-Fi? discusses Sony WH-1000XM5 and Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless as alternatives, but their current prices and specifications are not established here. Compare current local prices, comfort, ANC, sound preference, portability and battery life before choosing.
