Nivalis Nights puts running food businesses, decorating a home, fishing, and building relationships at the center of its cyberpunk city life. That emphasis gives the game a slice-of-life feel, but the setting is not free of danger: its story still includes CorpSec crackdowns, curfew security, sabotage, and a serial killer. It launched on September 29, 2026, and the US Steam listing showed a temporary introductory discount when checked October 9.
What does “takes the danger out of Night City” mean?
It describes a shift in gameplay emphasis, not a city without threats. The official Steam description calls the game a “cyberpunk slice of life” and frames each day around choices between business growth and time with the city’s residents. Crime and danger remain part of the story and its systems; the available official information does not establish a direct comparison with another game’s mechanics or prove that Nivalis Nights is safer, easier, or less violent.
ION LANDS developed Nivalis Nights, and 505 Games published it. It is a released, single-player simulation set in Nivalis, a cyberpunk city also associated with Cloudpunk. Steam lists the two games together in a bundle, but that alone does not make them like-for-like alternatives.

Grow a food business
You can begin with a noodle stand and expand into restaurants and nightclubs. The official listing describes buying or growing ingredients and managing the business as one of the ways to spend your days.

Make a home and build relationships
Home decoration and relationships with residents offer a counterweight to business management. The game also includes minigames, giving players activities beyond growing their venues.
Fish and explore the city’s routine
Fishing from a boat is another listed activity. Together, these systems make the everyday loop—work, leisure, and relationships—a central part of the pitch rather than a break from the cyberpunk setting.

Deal with threats in the story
The district faces CorpSec crackdowns and a mysterious serial killer. Curfew security and sabotage also feature; the listing notes that sabotage can rebound on the player. The life-simulation focus therefore coexists with narrative danger.

On October 9, 2026, the US Steam listing showed the base game for $22.49, reduced from $24.99 by a 10% introductory discount scheduled to end October 13, 2026. That is a dated US listing, not a permanent price; the offer may have expired and prices vary by market.

Steam lists 11 supported interface languages and English full audio; the other listed languages have subtitles. Its mature-content note says characters occasionally wear revealing outfits and one quest includes depictions of corpses.
What do Steam reviews say?
In the Steam snapshot accessed in October 2026, English-language reviews were marked “Mostly Positive,” with 76% positive among 2,479 English reviews. Steam showed 3,494 purchaser reviews across all languages. These are changing platform figures, not an independent assessment or a guarantee of an individual player’s experience.
