Two worthwhile Nintendo Switch games labeled “Complete Edition” offer very different experiences: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition bundles the base game with expansions and DLC, while Little Nightmares Complete Edition packages two parallel escape stories. The label is not a standardized promise, so check each game’s official listing to see exactly what is included.

What does “Complete Edition” mean for each game?
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition
CD PROJEKT RED’s Switch support page says the edition contains the base game, all 16 free DLCs, and both story expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. It also confirms that “Everything is included on the physical game card.” That makes this the clearest choice here if having the included content on the card matters to you.

Nintendo UK’s listing identifies the Switch release date as October 15, 2019, and lists both game-card and download versions. Check your regional store and retailer listings for current formats and availability.

Little Nightmares Complete Edition
Nintendo’s US digital store listing describes the package as two parallel escape stories, following Six and The Kid. It lists May 18, 2018 as the release date and Bandai Namco Entertainment as publisher. The page does not establish physical stock in any particular country, so check local listings if you want a cartridge.
The listing describes two stories in this package; it does not say that Little Nightmares II is included. Nintendo’s US rating information lists Blood and Violence.

How should you choose between them?
- Choose The Witcher 3 if you want open-world exploration, role-playing, and a dark fantasy story, or if the confirmed on-card contents of its physical edition are important to you.
- Choose Little Nightmares if you want a moody puzzle-platform adventure built around two escape stories rather than a sprawling RPG.
- Check practical details before buying: confirm the edition and package contents on the listing for your region, check the age and content rating, and verify whether the format you want is currently available. Official product pages establish package descriptions, not live stock or prices.
How to interpret “Complete Edition” on Switch
Do not assume the phrase guarantees the same kind of bundle from one game to another. It may refer to expansions and DLC, or—as Nintendo’s description indicates for Little Nightmares—a package containing multiple stories. Use the official product page to confirm what is included, and look for separate confirmation if on-card content is a deciding factor. The examples above do not establish every Switch game sold under a Complete Edition label.
