Xiaomi has added the Power Bank 20000 45W Boost (Integrated Cable) to its global product site after its Chinese debut. It combines a 20,000mAh-equivalent battery with an integrated USB-C cable, a separate USB-C port and a USB-A port. The pack can charge up to three devices, but Xiaomi specifies only 15W total theoretical output when two or more charging paths are active, so the 45W headline applies to single-device charging rather than three simultaneous 45W feeds.
What the new Xiaomi 45W power bank is
The unit uses two 10,000mAh cells, which Xiaomi describes as equivalent to a 20,000mAh battery. Its integrated USB-C cable and its USB-C port both support up to 45W bidirectional charging: they can deliver power to a device or accept power to recharge the bank. A USB-A port provides a third charging path.
The integrated cable is the main travel convenience. You do not need to carry a separate USB-C lead for compatible phones, tablets, headphones or other USB-C equipment. Xiaomi’s published specification also lists QC2.0, QC3.0, PD2.0, PD3.0, PPS, BC1.2, Apple 2.4A, SCP, AFC, FCP and DCP support. Actual charging behavior depends on the connected device, its software, the cable and the selected protocol.

Xiaomi says up to three devices can be connected at once. However, its own note says the total theoretical output is 15W when two or more devices are charged simultaneously. In practical terms, connecting several phones changes the use case from maximum-speed charging to convenient top-ups across multiple devices. It does not provide 45W to each connected product.

How fast can it charge a Xiaomi 17 Ultra?
Xiaomi claims that a Xiaomi 17 Ultra can reach 42% charge in 30 minutes under specified laboratory conditions. That is a vendor test result, not a guaranteed field result. Battery temperature, starting charge level, software version, cable quality, ambient temperature and whether another device is connected can all change the outcome. The 45W rating is therefore best treated as the maximum negotiated charging mode, not a fixed rate maintained for an entire charging session.
For 45W operation through USB-C, Xiaomi says a 3A-or-higher USB-C cable is required. The integrated cable is intended to meet that requirement; use a suitably rated external cable if you charge through the separate USB-C port.

Air travel and safety information
Xiaomi lists a rated energy of 74Wh and a rated capacity of 12,000mAh at 5V/3A for its air-travel note. The company labels the product suitable for air travel under its stated conditions. Keep it in carry-on baggage, not checked baggage, and follow the airline’s own power-bank limits and packing instructions. Airline policies can be stricter than the product’s rating.
The manufacturer says the design includes 16 protective systems. Listed protections include overvoltage, overcurrent, temperature, short circuit, crush, nail penetration, hot-box, overcharge and lithium-plating protection. Xiaomi says the relevant safety-test results and charging figures come from its internal laboratories or qualified testing institutions under stated conditions. Those tests do not remove the need to stop using a swollen, damaged or overheating battery.

Who should consider it

Its limits are equally important: two or more connected devices share a stated 15W total theoretical output, and Xiaomi has not yet disclosed pricing, a firm sale date or regional stock. It is a promising option for USB-C travelers, but the final buying decision should wait for local availability and price.
