Tarlin is preparing a palm-sized, officially licensed miniature PC collection that you assemble from capsule-toy parts. The lineup reported in June 2026 includes three branded motherboards, a miniature processor, cooling and power components, case fans, and a case that holds the boards. It is a display collectible, not a working computer. Capsules reportedly cost ¥500 each, and five drops are the minimum cited for the component set—but random contents mean a complete build can require more.
What the Tarlin buildable PC capsules contain
The collection is being developed through official collaborations with Intel, ASRock, Gigabyte and MSI. Each item is scaled for a palm-sized display build and uses the partners’ real product identities and packaging styles.

Reports also say each motherboard comes with a miniature retail box modeled after the packaging for its full-size counterpart. That packaging is part of the collectible presentation rather than a component with an electronic purpose.

How assembly works
- Collect a motherboard. The capsule assortment includes the three board designs, but the contents of each play are random.
- Install the miniature processor. The Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus piece is designed to fit any of the three miniature motherboard models.
- Add the cooler and other internal pieces. Place the miniature CPU cooler, power supply and fans in the case according to the model’s assembly points.
- Mount the board in the case. The case is sized to hold all three board variants, so you can display whichever model you collected.
- Finish the display. Arrange the retail-style motherboard box alongside the completed case for a presentation modeled on a real PC build.
The “build” is mechanical and visual. The reports do not establish that any part contains functioning electronics, can power on, or can run software. Treat the collection as a miniature PC model rather than a computer upgrade or educational electronics kit.

How many capsules are needed?
Launch coverage cites five capsule drops for the reported component set. At the stated ¥500 price, five plays would total ¥2,500 before duplicates. That is a minimum, not a guaranteed purchase price: because capsule contents are random, you may receive duplicate motherboards or other pieces before obtaining every required part. No complete rarity or assortment table has been published, so there is no reliable way to calculate the likely number of plays or a maximum cost.
A practical collection plan is to trade duplicate pieces with other collectors rather than repeatedly buying capsules once you have the parts needed for your preferred board. If your goal is simply a finished display, decide whether you need all three motherboard variants; the case is reported to accommodate each one, so a single completed configuration does not require installing all three at once.

Price and release status
Tarlin launch coverage reported a price of ¥500 per capsule play in 2026. The announcement was reported on June 28–29, 2026. Those reports establish the Japanese capsule-machine format and the announced collaboration, but they do not confirm a nationwide launch date, a final list of machine locations, production quantity, international distribution or guaranteed online inventory.

Bandai’s official Gashapon schedule commonly shows ¥300–¥500 price points for Japanese capsule products, which places ¥500 within the normal market range. It does not mean Bandai makes, distributes or sells this Tarlin series. Availability should therefore be checked at an identified Japanese capsule machine or through a verified retailer listing once Tarlin publishes one; an unverified marketplace listing is not proof of an official release.

What the announcement actually promises
Tarlin’s announcement, quoted in launch coverage, describes “4大メーカー公式コラボでお届けする 手のひらサイズのPCパーツを企画中…！ 組み立てて遊べる本格仕様です🛠️,” meaning the company is planning palm-sized PC parts delivered through official collaboration with four major manufacturers and intended to be assembled and played with. The wording supports the licensed miniature-parts concept, but it does not establish computer functionality, final specifications or worldwide sales.

Buying advice for collectors
Before paying more than the capsule price on a resale site, verify the seller’s photographs, the exact pieces included and whether the item is an official Tarlin release rather than a similarly styled miniature PC toy. Ask whether the listing represents one random capsule, a partial assortment or a complete five-piece target set. Since no official international channel is confirmed, shipping, import charges and duplicate risk can materially change the final cost.

Collectors who want the licensed motherboard designs and branded boxes should wait for a listing that identifies the specific series and contents. Buyers who mainly want the experience of assembling a tiny desktop can also search for a conventional “miniature PC model toy” or “buildable mini PC collectible,” which offers a known kit format but will not necessarily reproduce Tarlin’s licensed hardware branding or capsule-machine randomness.
