To turn off the GOAT Skill activation animation in NBA 2K27, open Options > Customize HUD, select GOAT Skill Graphics, and set it to Off. The menu route and setting are identified in recent player reports, and NBA 2K27 video guides specifically cover disabling this graphic. Menu labels can vary by mode or game build.
Turn off the GOAT Skill animation
- Pause the game or open the in-game options menu.
- Select Customize HUD.
- Find GOAT Skill Graphics and change it to Off.
- Trigger a GOAT Skill during play to check whether its activation graphic is gone.
If you cannot find the option, open HUD customization from the mode you are playing and look through its graphic settings. The available sources do not establish a platform-specific route.
What the setting turns off—and what it may not
The toggle concerns the graphic shown when a GOAT Skill activates. Progress or gameplay notifications that appear as you complete objectives may be separate, and player reports indicate they can remain after the activation graphic is disabled. The available sources do not establish a reliable NBA 2K27 setting that suppresses every GOAT-related notification.

NBA 2K26 players have reported a Quick option alongside Off, for a shorter presentation rather than removing the activation graphic. Its availability in NBA 2K27 is not confirmed, so check the choices shown in your current build before relying on it.

If the graphic appears again
Return to Customize HUD and check whether GOAT Skill Graphics is still set to Off. Some NBA 2K26 players reported HUD settings reverting, but that behavior is not established for NBA 2K27.

NBA 2K27-specific guides published on August 28 and August 31, 2026, address turning off the GOAT Skill graphic or activation animation. Player reports from recent releases identify the menu label and the Off choice; they are not official documentation. The official NBA 2K27 mode overview does not document this toggle.
