In MyCAREER practice, open Playmaking and select Pick and Roll Combo. Use Jock Landale’s side screen to get open, make the pass shown in the on-screen prompt, then stand fully inside the orange shooting circle until it fills. Move to your shooting spot and make the jump shot. A correct pass and a made shot each earn one point.
How to complete the Pick and Roll Combo drill
- Open the drill: In MyCAREER practice, go to Playmaking and choose Pick and Roll Combo.
- Use the screen: Wait for Jock Landale to set the side screen, then move off it to get open on the perimeter.
- Follow the pass prompt: Check the instruction at the bottom of the screen and make that pass. The prompt may call for a regular pass, bounce pass, or alley-oop, and the required type can change from rep to rep.
- Fill the shooting circle: After passing, move fully inside the orange circle and stay there until it fills. Being near the circle is not enough.
- Take the shot: Once the circle fills, move to your preferred shooting position and take the jump shot.
How the drill scores
The guide reports one point for a correct pass and one point for a made shot. You can earn two points on a rep by completing both actions. A made shot alone does not establish that you completed the circle requirement, so wait for the fill indicator before moving to shoot.

What to do if a rep does not register
- The pass action misses: Use the pass type shown in the current on-screen prompt rather than relying on the previous rep’s instruction.
- The shooting-circle action misses: Move completely inside the orange circle and remain there until it fills before taking the jump shot.
Pick and Roll Combo is not the 2-on-2 drill
Pick and Roll Combo uses a prompted pass and a shooting-circle step. The separate Pick & Roll: 2-on-2 practice option is described as a standard pick-and-roll possession without a randomized pass prompt. Nerd’s Chalk lists its scoring as +50 for an assist, +50 for a two-point score, +75 for a three-pointer, and −25 for a turnover or miss; those values belong to that separate drill, not Combo.

Controls and button mappings
Button mappings described for general pick-and-roll play in earlier entries are not confirmed for the NBA 2K27 launch build. For the current drill, follow the pass prompt displayed on screen and check the game’s Controller Settings for your active button mapping.
