Standard is the $69.99 U.S. suggested-price base game. Deluxe costs $99.99 and adds 100,000 VC, MyCAREER boosts and cosmetics, and MyTEAM packs. Ultra is $149.99 and includes Deluxe content plus 35,000 more VC, season passes, a hoodie, and future premium MyTEAM cards. The right choice depends on your platform, preference for physical or digital ownership, interest in online modes, and whether the extra bonuses justify the premium.
NBA 2K27 editions at a glance
2K lists three NBA 2K27 editions for the 2026 release: Standard, Deluxe, and a limited-time Ultra edition. Prices below are 2K’s suggested U.S. retail prices; stores can charge different amounts, and local pricing may differ by country, taxes, format, or promotion.
| Edition | U.S. suggested price | Main contents | Format and availability |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $69.99 | Base game | Switch 2 physical only; PS5 and Xbox Series X|S physical or digital; Steam digital only |
| Deluxe | $99.99 | Base game, 100,000 VC, MyCAREER boosts and jerseys, MyTEAM selection, packs, and 2XP coins | Digital only on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam |
| Ultra | $149.99 | Everything in Deluxe, 35,000 additional VC, season passes, a MyCAREER hoodie, and premium MyTEAM cards | Digital only on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam; listed through September 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PT |
The Standard edition is the only straightforward base-game purchase. Deluxe and Ultra are primarily bundles of consumable currency, mode-specific items, and timed or future content layered onto that same game.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWhat Standard includes
Standard contains the NBA 2K27 base game without the Deluxe or Ultra bonus bundle. It is the simplest option if you want to play the core game and do not need a launch supply of VC, boosts, packs, season passes, or exclusive cosmetics.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Physical and digital choices
- Switch 2: the listed Standard format is physical only.
- PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S: Standard is listed in both physical and digital formats.
- Steam: Standard is digital only.
Choose Standard when a disc or cartridge matters, when you mainly play modes that do not depend on bonus items, or when you would rather decide later whether to spend on optional in-game content. Retail listings and inventory can change, so check the specific store page before ordering.
What Deluxe adds
Deluxe includes the full game plus 100,000 VC and a substantial set of launch items for MyCAREER and MyTEAM. VC is NBA 2K’s in-game virtual currency; its practical value depends on how actively you use modes that accept it.
MyCAREER bonuses
- 25 units of each of six Skill Boost types.
- 25 units of each of three Gatorade Boost types.
- One 2-hour 2XP coin.
- Victor Wembanyama and Caitlin Clark jerseys.
MyTEAM bonuses
- Full ’27 Series 1 Team Selection.
- One Triple Threat Park Free Agent Pack.
- Five ’27 Series 1 Packs.
- One 2-hour 2XP coin.
Deluxe is digital only on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. There is no listed physical Deluxe package in the edition details above. The bundle is most relevant to players who plan to spend significant time in MyCAREER or MyTEAM immediately after starting the game.

What Ultra adds beyond Deluxe
Ultra contains all Deluxe benefits and adds 35,000 VC, bringing the stated total to 135,000 VC. It also bundles progression passes, a cosmetic item, and two premium MyTEAM card rewards scheduled for later in the game’s cycle.
Additional Ultra contents
- 35,000 additional VC: 135,000 VC total when the Deluxe allocation and Ultra allocation are combined.
- Season 1 Pro Pass.
- Summer Pass for Seasons 7–9.
- Roses Oversize Hoodie for MyCAREER.
- Ultra Edition MyTEAM cards: a guaranteed 98 OVR card scheduled for December 2026 and a guaranteed Invincible card scheduled for May 2027.
“OVR” is the overall rating shown on a MyTEAM card. The dates identify the planned delivery windows, not immediate launch rewards, so Ultra buyers should expect some value to arrive later. Ultra is digital only on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, and the official FAQ lists it for purchase through September 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PT.
Price premiums and what they buy
| Upgrade | Additional U.S. suggested price | What the upgrade adds |
|---|---|---|
| Standard to Deluxe | $30 | 100,000 VC, MyCAREER boosts and jerseys, MyTEAM selection and packs, and two 2-hour 2XP coins |
| Deluxe to Ultra | $50 | 35,000 more VC, Season 1 Pro Pass, Summer Pass for Seasons 7–9, hoodie, and two scheduled premium MyTEAM cards |
| Standard to Ultra | $80 | All Deluxe and Ultra additions together |
These are differences between the suggested prices, not guaranteed checkout prices. A sale can narrow or erase a gap, while regional taxes and currency conversion can widen it. Compare the final price for your platform and country rather than assuming the U.S. amounts will apply.
How to evaluate the bundle without overstating its value
The contents fall into four different categories, and treating them as interchangeable can lead to a poor choice. VC is a stated currency allocation, while Skill Boosts, Gatorade Boosts, and 2XP coins are consumable items. Jerseys and the hoodie are cosmetics. The Pro Pass, Summer Pass, and scheduled cards are progression or collection rewards whose usefulness depends on how long you continue playing. There is no official conversion in the edition listing that assigns a cash value to each item, so the safest comparison is to ask which listed benefits you would actually use.

- 5-in-1 USB-C Hub: Experience comprehensive connectivity featuring a Power Delivery input, two USB-A 2.0 ports, a USB-A 3.0 port, and an HDMI port. (Note: The USB-C power delivery input port is only for connecting an external wall charger to power your laptop and cannot power peripheral devices.)
- 90W Pass-Through Charging: Achieve optimal charging with 90W pass-through power to your laptop, supported by a total input of 100W, with the hub reserving 10W for operational efficiency. (Note: Wall charger not included.)
- Quick Data Transfers: Accelerate your productivity with rapid data transfers using a high-speed 5Gbps USB 3.0 port and two 480Mbps USB 2.0 ports.
- 4K HDMI Display: Enhance your visual experience with a hub capable of delivering 4K resolution at 30Hz in both mirror and extend modes. Please note that this hub is compatible with MacBook (macOS 12 and newer), Windows 10 and 11, ChromeOS, and laptops equipped with DP Alt Mode and Power Delivery. Note: This device is not compatible with Linux.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
The Standard-to-Deluxe step is $30 and supplies the entire 100,000 VC allocation plus the launch bundle. The Deluxe-to-Ultra step is $50 for 35,000 additional VC and the pass, cosmetic, and future-card additions. That means Ultra’s incremental VC amount is smaller than Deluxe’s allocation, while its other benefits arrive across different times. Someone focused on launch-week MyCAREER or MyTEAM may favor Deluxe; someone committed to later seasons may place more weight on Ultra’s passes and cards.
Which edition fits which player?
Pick Standard if you want the base game
- You mainly want the core NBA 2K27 experience.
- You prefer a physical copy where one is offered.
- You do not expect to use 100,000 or more VC soon.
- You would rather evaluate the game before buying optional currency or passes.
Standard avoids paying upfront for content you may never use. It is also the only listed choice for a physical Switch 2 copy.
Pick Deluxe for a launch-focused MyCAREER or MyTEAM start
Deluxe concentrates its value in immediate supplies: VC, temporary boosts, experience coins, jerseys, a team selection, and packs. It suits players who already know they will use those modes and want a larger starting inventory without moving to Ultra’s future rewards and passes.
MyCAREER players should note that the boosts are specified as 25 units of each type, not unlimited access. The six Skill Boost categories and three Gatorade Boost categories are separate allocations, and both 2XP coins last two hours. MyTEAM players receive a complete ’27 Series 1 Team Selection, one Triple Threat Park Free Agent Pack, and five ’27 Series 1 Packs, so the package is oriented toward building an opening collection rather than delivering every later-season item.
Recommended Free Tools
Pick Ultra for the full premium bundle
Ultra makes sense only when you value all three additions beyond Deluxe: the extra 35,000 VC, the two season-pass benefits, and the exclusive hoodie and scheduled cards. If future MyTEAM rewards or the Season 7–9 Summer Pass do not matter to you, the $50 step up from Deluxe is difficult to justify on the listed contents alone.
Ultra also requires patience. The guaranteed 98 OVR card is scheduled for December 2026 and the guaranteed Invincible card for May 2027. Those are not launch-day cards, and the listing does not promise that either reward can be sold or auctioned. Buy Ultra for the complete set of benefits, not on the assumption that every item is immediately available.
Release dates and the early-access discrepancy
Standard access began September 4, 2026, according to 2K Support. Official 2K materials disagree about when Deluxe and Ultra early access began:

- Sleek 7-in-1 USB-C Hub: Features an HDMI port, two USB-A 3.0 ports, and a USB-C data port, each providing 5Gbps transfer speeds. It also includes a USB-C PD input port for charging up to 100W and dual SD and TF card slots, all in a compact design.
- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
- The Support FAQ, updated September 7, 2026, lists August 26, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. PT.
- A 2K newsroom announcement lists August 28, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. PDT.
Because the later-updated FAQ and newsroom announcement do not match, do not assume one date applies universally. If early access affects your purchase, verify the date and entitlement shown on your platform’s store page and in your account before paying. The discrepancy does not change the stated edition contents or prices.

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →The timing matters most if you are buying after launch or comparing a discounted listing. Early access is a time-limited entitlement tied to the premium editions, while the base game’s Standard access date is separate. A retailer’s headline may mention “early access” without making clear which platform, region, or edition it covers, so inspect the entitlement details rather than relying on a banner.
Platform, format, and regional restrictions
Platform checklist
- Confirm that you are buying for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, or Steam; the listed formats differ by platform.
- On Switch 2, look for the physical Standard listing because the edition information lists Standard as physical only.
- On PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, decide whether you want a physical Standard copy or a digital edition. Deluxe and Ultra are digital only.
- On Steam, all listed editions are digital.
Physical and digital versions are not interchangeable purchases. A disc or cartridge can be useful if you share or resell games, but only Standard has a listed physical format on the supported console platforms. Digital Deluxe and Ultra purchases are tied to the purchasing account and platform storefront, so confirm that you are signed into the account where you intend to play.
Countries with stated restrictions
The official FAQ says Deluxe and Ultra are unavailable in Belgium, South Korea, and Brazil. A store may therefore show only Standard in those markets, regardless of platform. Check your local storefront instead of relying on a U.S. edition page.
Do not infer local availability from a foreign listing or a code sold in another country. Regional storefront rules, currency, taxes, and platform policies can all affect what appears at checkout. The U.S. suggested prices are useful for comparing the tiers, but they are not a promise of the final local amount.
Internet, account, and offline requirements
Bonus content requires an internet connection and an NBA 2K account. That requirement applies to redeeming and using the VC, boosts, packs, passes, cards, and other included items; buying a digital edition does not remove it.
The 2K Store identifies Play Now, MyNBA, and The W as available offline. Other modes and features require internet access and may also require account registration. If you regularly play without a connection, choose based on the offline modes you actually use rather than on the online bundle contents.
Practical setup steps
- Install NBA 2K27 on the supported platform.
- Connect the console or PC to the internet before attempting to redeem bonuses.
- Sign in to, or create, an NBA 2K account and link it as prompted.
- Launch the relevant mode and allow the game to synchronize entitlements.
- If an item does not appear, restart the game while online and confirm that the store account is the account that purchased the edition.
Keep the purchase receipt or digital order record until the entitlements appear. If you own more than one platform, verify where the edition was purchased before expecting the bonuses on another system; the listed formats are platform-specific, and the edition table does not promise cross-platform transfer of every item.

MyTEAM card and pack limitations
The listed MyTEAM cards and packs in Deluxe and Ultra are unauctionable. They can be used in MyTEAM but cannot be put into the auction system. That restriction matters if you normally evaluate packs by their trading or resale potential; the included items are intended for your collection and lineup, not for auction proceeds.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
The Ultra 98 OVR and Invincible cards are also scheduled rewards rather than launch-day cards. Keep the delivery months—December 2026 and May 2027—in mind when comparing Ultra with a lower edition.
“Unauctionable” also changes how you should compare the bundle with a card you could otherwise sell. The selection and packs may help you field a team, but they should not be counted as guaranteed VC, auction currency, or transferable value. Their usefulness depends on your preferred lineup and whether you continue playing when the later Ultra rewards arrive.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Common buying pitfalls
- Assuming every edition has a disc: Deluxe and Ultra are digital only, and Steam has no listed physical edition.
- Using the U.S. price as a local quote: $69.99, $99.99, and $149.99 are suggested prices, not guaranteed checkout totals.
- Expecting all Ultra content immediately: the two guaranteed cards are scheduled for December 2026 and May 2027.
- Overlooking the auction restriction: the listed cards and packs are unauctionable.
- Buying without an account or connection: online access and an NBA 2K account are required to redeem and use bonus content.
- Trusting an unverified early-access date: the Support FAQ and newsroom announcement list different start dates.
- Ignoring the Ultra cutoff: the FAQ lists availability through September 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PT.
- Skipping the regional check: Deluxe and Ultra are stated to be unavailable in Belgium, South Korea, and Brazil.
Buying checklist
- Check the final price in your country; the three figures are U.S. suggested prices.
- Verify the platform and format, especially if you want a physical copy.
- Confirm that Deluxe or Ultra is sold in your region.
- Decide whether you will use MyCAREER boosts, MyTEAM packs, VC, and season passes.
- Account for the delayed Ultra card rewards and the unauctionable restriction.
- Confirm the platform’s early-access entitlement because official dates conflict.
- Make sure you have internet access and an NBA 2K account for bonus redemption.
- Review the store’s return rules before opening or redeeming digital content.
Bottom line: Standard, Deluxe, or Ultra?
Buy Standard for the base game, particularly if you want a physical Switch 2, PS5, or Xbox Series X|S copy or prefer to postpone optional spending. Buy Deluxe when 100,000 VC and the immediate MyCAREER/MyTEAM bundle match how you play. Buy Ultra only if the additional 35,000 VC, passes, hoodie, and future premium cards justify the extra $50 over Deluxe at your actual checkout price. Whichever edition you choose, verify regional availability, platform format, and early-access timing before completing the purchase.
