No—Navimow H2 does not replace RTK with LiDAR. Segway Navimow describes its EFLS navigation as combining LiDAR, Network RTK (NRTK), and vision. The manufacturer says LiDAR helps in places such as beneath trees and in darkness, while Network RTK provides precision in open areas. That is the advertised design, not an independently verified performance result.
For shoppers, the practical question is whether the combination suits their yard and whether Network RTK is supported at their address. Navimow’s US listing gives the H210 a stated capacity of 0.25 acre at $1,799 and the H220 a stated capacity of 0.5 acre at $2,199; prices and availability can change. This is a specification-based review, not a hands-on test.
What “LiDAR instead of RTK” gets wrong
Navimow presents H2 as a mower that combines three navigation inputs, rather than one that substitutes LiDAR for RTK. Its official H2 overview describes LiDAR as contributing spatial awareness, Network RTK as providing satellite positioning precision, and vision as additional assistance. The manufacturer says the mower switches positioning modes in 20 milliseconds; the page does not state a year for that figure.

This distinction matters in a real yard. Network RTK availability depends on location, while LiDAR and vision are part of the advertised navigation package. The product listing says network access and required cellular data are included at no extra cost where supported, and directs buyers to check coverage by postcode. Neither that statement nor the feature description establishes that the mower will navigate reliably in every covered yard.

What Navimow says H2 can handle
The following are manufacturer specifications or claims, not independent measurements. Navimow does not provide independent field-test evidence in the cited product material for cut quality, navigation consistency, slope traction, obstacle recognition, or reliability.
- Trees and darkness: Navimow says LiDAR helps H2 navigate beneath tree cover and in dark conditions. No independent performance results are established.
- Narrow routes: The overview claims navigation through paths as narrow as 2.3 feet. Check the actual route width, turns, and access points in your yard; the claim does not establish that every passage of that width will work.
- Slopes: Navimow advertises a maximum slope of 45% (24°), specifying grass 1.97 inches high, a dry surface, and no obstacles. Do not treat that conditional manufacturer figure as a guarantee for wet, uneven, or obstructed ground.
- Obstacles and animals: The overview claims recognition of more than 200 obstacle types with 0.4-inch detection accuracy. It also says H2 identifies more than 20 animal types and slows when an animal is 3.3 feet away. These are not a safety guarantee; do not rely on the mower to protect people or pets.
H210 or H220: which size fits?
Navimow’s US product listing gives these capacities and prices. They are manufacturer-listed figures, not a recommendation based on independent coverage testing; confirm current price and local availability before buying.

Choose by the area that needs mowing and the schedule you expect to run, not just the total property size. The product information does not establish actual coverage under particular conditions or how long either model takes to mow a specific yard. If your lawn has separate sections, narrow connectors, or substantial obstacles, those constraints also matter.

Navimow describes automatic mapping and GeoSketch real-scene map editing, plus schedule and cutting-height controls for up to 30 areas. It also lists Alexa and Google Home voice control.
