Alice Nation launched on Steam on October 15, 2026. Developed by Hanamiriro and published by 2P Games, it is a single-player narrative adventure that uses cards as its world, interface and strategic toolkit. The official launch update lists a $7.99 price with a limited-time 10% discount.
What Alice Nation is
Alice Nation follows Alice, a quiet and solitary young woman who wakes in a dreamlike realm called The Beyond. The setting is built from cards and presented like a tabletop surface: exploration, conversations, item use and puzzles all take place through card-based interactions. Alice is looking for a route back to reality while trying to understand the rules and secrets of the world around her.
The game combines narrative adventure with light strategy and simulation systems. You collect resources, synthesize items, investigate clues, complete quests, scan signals, solve cases, play cards with non-player characters and confront enemies. Progress is not described as a single fixed route; choices and different ways of approaching problems can shape where the story goes next.

Cards as places and objects
The Beyond is presented as a card-built landscape rather than a conventional free-roaming map. Cards represent the things Alice examines or uses, so finding a resource, combining materials or interacting with a character is part of the same tabletop-like language.

Investigation, puzzles and cases
Investigation is a central activity. Players follow signals, gather information, connect clues and solve cases, with puzzles providing another way to unlock progress. The design leaves room to choose different actions instead of treating every objective as a linear sequence of battles.
Choices and encounters
Quests and conversations can alter the route through The Beyond. Encounters may involve playing cards with characters, crafting an item, examining evidence or facing an enemy. That mix makes the card mechanics part of the narrative rather than a separate combat-only mode.

Characters and premise
Alice
Alice is composed and reserved but insecure, and her search for home drives the story. Her limited understanding of The Beyond gives the player reason to investigate each new rule, person and location.

- Mery: a dramatic storyteller whose perspective adds a theatrical voice to the group.
- March Hare: a carefree bunny affected by the corruption spreading through the world.
- Noah: a researcher carrying cryptic notes and potentially withholding important information.
The Steam description also teases an unidentified girl with a lily in her hair, suggesting that Alice’s companions are not the only unresolved part of the mystery.

Is it like Inscryption, Voice of Cards or other card games?
The developer positions Alice Nation for players who enjoy Inscryption, Voice of Cards, Cultist Simulator, Stacklands and Hand of Fate. Those references indicate the intended audience, not a claim that the games play identically. Alice Nation’s stated emphasis is a story-first adventure that combines card interaction with crafting, investigation, puzzles and branching choices.

Language support
Steam lists interface and subtitle support for English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Traditional Chinese. No full audio language option is listed, so buyers should not assume voiced dialogue in those languages.
