The Soutine Nano Banana Prompt Library pairs example prompts with generated previews, so you can see what a prompt produced before copying and adapting it. Soutine described the collection as having more than 1,400 examples; its page listed 1,429 when checked in 2026, and that live count can change. Browsing and copying are free, according to the creator, but generating images through Soutine uses credits.
What the Nano Banana prompt library includes
The collection is a browsable reference, not just a list of text prompts: each example is presented with a generated image preview. That pairing helps you inspect the relationship between the wording and the result. As leony put it in a DEV Community article, “A prompt without an example is difficult to evaluate.”
The library spans a broad range of image-making tasks, including:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
- Portraits and photo editing, including restoration examples
- E-commerce staging and product shots
- Character design, anime and manga
- Art styles and visual effects
- Interiors, logos and typography
- Broader creative concepts
The previews are examples to learn from, not promises that another run will produce the same result. The useful feature is that you can compare the text and image, then decide which parts of the prompt are relevant to your own idea.

How to use an example as a starting point
- Choose a nearby category. Start with an example that resembles the subject or visual task you want, rather than trying to adapt an unrelated prompt from scratch.
- Compare the preview with its prompt. Note the details that appear to shape the result, such as subject, lighting, composition or constraints.
- Copy the prompt and adapt it. Replace or adjust only the details that matter to your experiment; you do not have to preserve the example’s subject or style.
- Run the revised prompt and assess the result. If it is close but not right, change one element at a time. This is the creator’s suggested practice, not a guarantee that a particular wording change will control the output.
Changing one variable at a time—such as lighting or composition—makes it easier to compare what changed between attempts. Treat camera and lens terms you may see in examples as prompt language; they do not mean you need physical camera equipment.
Is browsing or generating free?
Soutine says you can browse the library and copy its examples for free. That is separate from generating images: the creator says generations made in Soutine use credits. The available information does not establish current credit prices, regional availability or the service’s complete terms, so check Soutine’s current information before relying on any specific cost or condition.

Can I use the prompts in Midjourney, Stable Diffusion or Flux?
The examples can be treated as wording to adapt, but a prompt that works in one image generator may not behave the same way in another. The available material does not provide tested compatibility results for Midjourney, Stable Diffusion or Flux. If you try an example elsewhere, expect to adjust it for that platform and judge the output directly.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteAre the prompts and generated images free for commercial use?
The library page says its prompts may be copied, modified and used. It also says images generated by active Soutine AI users include commercial usage rights. Those are Soutine’s statements, not a blanket legal guarantee: the full current terms and conditions, including how they apply to particular models, users or regions, are not established here. Review the service’s current terms for your situation, and do not assume the same rights apply to images generated on another platform.

Can I download the complete prompt collection?
The creator points to a companion repository named soutine-banana-prompts on GitHub. Its linked Hugging Face card describes the repository as an introduction to the online library, not a local dataset or downloadable model. Do not expect it to provide the complete prompt collection for offline use.
