Mynt, the company behind GCash, announced a proposed IPO offer price of ₱6.60 per share on October 2, 2026. That is 34% below the Philippine Stock Exchange’s earlier maximum of ₱10—but ₱10 was a ceiling, not a previously finalized price. Mynt said the shares were expected to list on October 20 under ticker GCASH, subject to approvals and other considerations.
What changed in the Mynt IPO price?
The PSE’s September 18, 2026 notice gave a maximum offer price of ₱10 per share. Mynt’s October 2 announcement, after bookbuilding, put forward a proposed final offer price of ₱6.60. The difference is ₱3.40 per share, or 34% below the earlier maximum, calculated from those two announced figures. This is a final price below a stated cap—not a reduction from a confirmed ₱10 offer price.
The issuer is Mynt, Inc., not the GCash app itself. GCash is the digital financial services brand associated with the company; the IPO announcements name Mynt as the company offering shares.

As of October 3, 2026, the expected listing was still in the future. The October 20 date was not guaranteed. Investors should check Mynt’s and the PSE’s official notices for any updated schedule, final prospectus, and subscription deadlines.

How many shares are in the offer?
The PSE’s September 18 offer description covered 8.03 billion shares in total: up to 1.61 billion primary shares and 6.42 billion secondary shares. It also described an overallotment option of up to 1.20 billion additional secondary shares. These are terms from the PSE’s exchange-approved offer description; the final prospectus and offer documents govern the completed transaction and allocation.
Primary versus secondary shares
- Primary shares are newly issued shares; their sale can raise capital for the issuer.
- Secondary shares are existing shares sold by current holders. The proceeds from those sales generally go to the selling holders, not to the issuer.
The PSE’s September share counts are later-stage offer details than Mynt’s June statement that proposed firm shares would equal 12.0% of post-IPO capital. The two figures describe different stages and measures; the June percentage should not be treated as a substitute for the later share-count breakdown. Consult the final prospectus for the final allocation and use of proceeds.

Why is the price below the earlier maximum?
The dated announcements establish the change in pricing, but do not establish that weak market conditions alone caused Mynt to set ₱6.60. A June 2026 Business Times report discussed a thin Philippine market and possible liquidity concerns, while a 2024 Globe disclosure said IPO timing depended on favorable market conditions. Those older points offer context, not proof of the reason for this specific price. The cited Mynt announcement says the price followed bookbuilding; it does not, by itself, attribute the outcome to a single cause.

The PSE said local small investors could subscribe through PSE EASy and that subscriptions would also be available through GStocks in the GCash app. Availability through a platform does not guarantee an allocation. Check the official instructions for current eligibility, account requirements, offer deadlines, and any applicable limits before placing an order.

Does the ₱6.60 offer price mean the IPO is a good investment?
No. An offer price is the price at which shares are offered under the IPO terms, not a forecast of how they will trade after listing. A price below the earlier maximum does not by itself show that shares are cheap, fairly valued, or suitable for a particular investor. The announcements cited here do not support a personal investment recommendation. Review the prospectus, including risk factors and financial disclosures, and consider your own objectives and tolerance for loss before deciding.
