Mycopunk is the one PlayStation Plus Extra Game Catalog title reported ahead of the October 2026 lineup announcement. It is set to arrive on PS5 and join the catalog on October 20, according to Push Square and PlayStation Lifestyle. This is an early reveal of one title, not the full October Extra or Premium selection.
Which PS Plus Extra game was revealed early?
The game is Mycopunk, developed by Pigeons at Play and published by Devolver Digital, as reported by Push Square. The report says Devolver Digital confirmed a PS5 release date and that Sony announced the game would launch directly into PS Plus Extra on that same date.

PlayStation Lifestyle also reported on October 5 that Mycopunk was confirmed for the October catalog. The two reports identify the same game and date; neither is Sony’s own Mycopunk announcement page.
When does Mycopunk join the Game Catalog?
The reported date is October 20, 2026, for its PS5 release and PS Plus Extra catalog arrival. Push Square reported that the game would launch directly into Extra on that date; PlayStation Lifestyle likewise listed October 20 as its catalog date.

What kind of game is Mycopunk?
Mycopunk is described as a cooperative shooter. PlayStation Lifestyle characterizes it as a co-op first-person shooter, while Push Square calls it a mission-based looter shooter for up to four players.
Its premise centers on a group of robot rejects hired by the SAXON corporation for a chance at profitable work and a reprieve from the scrap heap, according to the overview reproduced by PlayStation Lifestyle. The available reports do not establish further gameplay details here.

Is this the full October PlayStation Plus lineup?
No. Mycopunk is one reported Extra Game Catalog addition, not the complete October Extra or Premium lineup. PlayStation Lifestyle’s October 5 report said the full catalog selection was expected to be announced later.
