Bandai Namco’s Season 19 trailer for MY HERO ULTRA RUMBLE looks back at Seasons 14–18, then shifts to battles featuring characters in the game’s third-anniversary season. The publisher’s overview spotlights Shoto Todoroki (Phosphor) as the season’s new playable character. The official descriptions do not confirm that Izuku Midoriya appears in the video, despite the title often used to describe it.
What’s in the My Hero Ultra Rumble Season 19 trailer?
Bandai Namco’s September 30, 2026 developer blog describes a quick look back at Seasons 14 through 18, followed by battles between characters at the center of the anniversary season. The publisher also lists a Season 19 Trailer on the game’s official media page.
That is a broad description, not a shot-by-shot account of the video. The official pages do not identify every character shown, explain every exchange, or confirm an Izuku Midoriya appearance. It is safest to treat the trailer as an anniversary-season overview and character showcase rather than infer details that Bandai Namco has not stated.

Is Izuku Midoriya in the Season 19 trailer?
It is not confirmed by the official descriptions cited here. Bandai Namco’s blog identifies Shoto Todoroki (Phosphor) as Season 19’s new playable character, but it does not say that Izuku appears in the trailer. A schedule listing for Izuku Midoriya OFA is not evidence of an appearance in this particular video.

If you are watching for Izuku, distinguish three separate claims: whether he appears in the footage, whether an Izuku variant is planned for Season 19, and when that variant becomes playable. The available official material answers only the season’s broad presentation and its featured Shoto variant. It does not establish the first claim.
Who is the new playable character highlighted for Season 19?
Bandai Namco introduces Shoto Todoroki (Phosphor), a version distinct from the Shoto Todoroki already in the game. The publisher says his Quirk Skills and Special Actions have been revamped to reflect his mastery of Flashfire Fist: Phosphor and his later-story understanding of his Quirk.
The blog specifically describes an ice attack that freezes opponents and a quick flame-blade strike. Those descriptions indicate a character built around the contrast between freezing control and rapid flame offense, but they do not provide complete damage values, cooldowns, role labels, or a full move list. Existing Shoto and Shoto (Phosphor) should therefore not be treated as interchangeable versions without checking the in-game descriptions.

Why is Season 19 significant?
Season 19 is the game’s third-anniversary season, marking three years since launch, according to Bandai Namco’s September 30 developer blog. The retrospective over Seasons 14–18 gives the trailer an anniversary context, while the character battles present the new season as an ongoing expansion rather than a standalone event.
The team also says, “We remain committed to developing even more content and making MY HERO ULTRA RUMBLE more exciting than ever.” The statement is presented as a message from the development team; no individual speaker is named. It signals continued support, but it does not promise a particular future character, balance change, or release date.

Nintendo’s US Switch listing identifies MY HERO ULTRA RUMBLE as a Nintendo Switch game. It labels the title free-to-play and discloses in-game purchases, including random items.
Free-to-play means there is no listed upfront purchase price for access on that listing; it does not mean every item or character-related purchase is free. The random-item disclosure is important for anyone budgeting for optional content. Nintendo’s page does not establish a boxed physical release, so a retail game copy is not a confirmed match for this trailer.

Common mistakes when reading the trailer news
- Confusing a tracker with the publisher: the October 14 Izuku date comes from a secondary schedule and should be labeled that way.
- Turning a season plan into a trailer claim: a planned playable character may be absent from the video.
- Assuming variants share the same kit: Bandai Namco says Phosphor has redesigned Quirk Skills and Special Actions.
- Overreading the overview: the official description summarizes the trailer but is not a frame-by-frame transcript.
- Ignoring purchase disclosures: the Switch listing is free-to-play and includes in-game purchases, including random items.
