Wizards of the Coast has confirmed four Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes Commander decks—but they are 2026 products, not 2027 releases. The decks are scheduled to launch June 26, 2026, with prerelease events running June 19–25, according to the Wizards Play Network product schedule.
When do the Marvel Commander decks come out?
The four decks are part of Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes, whose release date is June 26, 2026. The WPN schedule lists prerelease events for June 19–25, 2026, followed by the set’s release on June 26. The 2027 date in the original headline is incorrect for these products.
Wizards published a separate announcement describing its planned 2027 sets, but that slate does not make these Marvel Super Heroes decks 2027 products: they appear in the 2026 lineup. See Wizards’ 2027 release announcement for that year’s slate.

Wizards’ December 9, 2025 preview announced multiple Commander decks and singled out the Fantastic Four deck: any member of Marvel’s First Family can helm it. The preview explained the format’s role in the release: “We’re releasing multiple Commander decks as part of this set so you can jump straight into Magic’s most popular format with some of Marvel’s most famous characters.” That early statement confirms the presence of multiple decks and the Fantastic Four theme; the later WPN listing establishes the final count of four.

What is not established about the decks?
The official product information confirms the product count, release timing, 100-card format, and themes.
