The MSI Cyborg 15 C13WX is a product-family name, not enough information to identify one exact laptop. MSI’s US specification table lists two C13WE configurations with an RTX 5050 Laptop GPU, a 144Hz Full HD display and 512GB SSD; they differ in how their 16GB of memory is installed. Those specifications make the listed models plausible entry-level gaming laptops, but they do not establish real-world frame rates, battery life or value. Check the full SKU and region before treating any listing or review result as applying to your unit.
What this review can—and cannot—tell you
The available evidence supports a specification-based assessment of MSI’s US C13WE-093US and C13WE-252US configurations. It does not support a hands-on verdict on gaming performance, thermals, fan noise, display quality or battery endurance for either RTX 5050 model. MSI’s specification table is the source for the figures below; it does not show a publication date. MSI’s C13W specification page is the place to confirm the current details against the exact model you are considering.
A separate TechRadar review tested a Cyborg 15 A13U with an RTX 3050, Core i5-13420H, 8GB RAM and 512GB storage. That earlier configuration is useful context about the product line, not a performance test of the C13WE RTX 5050 models. TechRadar’s 2025 A13U review should be read with that distinction in mind.

Which C13WX configuration are you looking at?
“C13WX” identifies the product family. MSI’s US table places the C13WE-093US and C13WE-252US under its C13WX page, but the full model code matters: configurations and availability can vary by market. MSI’s table lists these two US models as follows.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
| US model | Graphics | Installed memory | Storage | Display |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| C13WE-093US | GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop GPU, 8GB GDDR7 | 16GB DDR5 in one module | 512GB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD | 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 × 1080), 144Hz, IPS-Level |
| C13WE-252US | GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop GPU, 8GB GDDR7 | 16GB DDR5 in two modules (8GB × 2) | 512GB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD | 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 × 1080), 144Hz, IPS-Level |
These are manufacturer-listed US configurations, not a guarantee that every C13WX sold elsewhere has the same components. MSI lists two DDR5 memory slots and a maximum of 96GB for the specification page, but that does not establish the installed memory arrangement for every regional SKU. Check the listing’s complete model number and confirm the RAM configuration before buying or planning an upgrade.
What the listed specifications mean for gaming
RTX 5050 graphics and a 144Hz screen
The two listed C13WE models pair an RTX 5050 Laptop GPU with a 1920 × 1080, 144Hz IPS-Level panel. That is a sensible resolution-and-refresh pairing on paper for a gaming laptop: Full HD is less demanding than higher-resolution displays, while 144Hz can show motion more smoothly when a game runs at a sufficiently high frame rate. The refresh-rate figure alone does not show that a particular game will reach 144 frames per second.

The official table identifies the graphics processor and its 8GB GDDR7 memory but does not state the GPU’s power limit. It also gives no C13WE benchmark results, display color-coverage measurements or exact-unit thermal data. Without those, it is not possible to make a well-supported claim about frame rates in specific games, performance against another laptop, or suitability for color-critical work.

The C13WE-093US has 16GB in one module, while the C13WE-252US has 8GB in each of two modules. The page does not provide comparative performance tests for these arrangements, so the distinction should not be turned into a precise frame-rate prediction. It is still relevant when checking a purchase: the installed layout affects what is already in the machine and what an upgrade may involve. MSI lists two memory slots and a 96GB maximum, but confirm the exact regional model and its installed modules rather than assuming another C13WX uses the same arrangement.

Portability, battery and connections
MSI lists the laptop at 4.37lb, with dimensions of 14.13 × 9.8 × 0.83–0.9 inches. That gives a concrete basis for calling the chassis relatively portable for a 15.6-inch gaming laptop, though the weight is a manufacturer specification, not an independent measurement of a particular unit.
The listed battery capacity is 60Wh and the included adapter is rated at 150W. Capacity does not establish how long the laptop lasts away from an outlet; no runtime measurement for the C13WE RTX 5050 configurations is available here. MSI’s port and wireless specifications are:

What the older A13U review says—and why it does not settle this one
TechRadar’s 2025 review reports results for its A13U test unit, which had an RTX 3050, Core i5-13420H, 8GB RAM and 512GB storage. It recorded an average of 30–40fps in Cyberpunk 2077 with Ray Tracing set to Low, under six hours of continuous movie playback, and under one hour in PCMark’s gaming battery test. These are results for that named A13U unit and those stated test conditions, not for the C13WE models with RTX 5050 graphics.

How to assess a C13WX listing before buying
- Find the complete SKU. Check the product listing and, where possible, the laptop’s chassis label or system information. Do not rely on “C13WX” alone.
- Match the region and specifications. Compare the exact model with MSI’s page for your market. For the two US C13WE models listed, verify the RTX 5050, installed memory layout, 512GB SSD and 144Hz Full HD panel.
- Check the performance details that are not settled by the family name. Look for the GPU power limit and independent tests of the exact configuration, including games you play. The official C13WE data here does not supply those results.
- Compare like with like. For alternatives, compare GPU and power limit, memory arrangement, display refresh rate and color coverage, measured battery runtime, weight, ports and price in the same region. No current verified price or comparable C13WE test results are established here.
Verdict
The C13WX family has a credible-looking lightweight gaming-laptop proposition, and MSI’s two cited US C13WE models are clearly specified on paper: RTX 5050 graphics, a 144Hz Full HD display, 16GB DDR5 and a 512GB SSD. But those specifications are not enough to call either model a proven gaming performer or judge its value. Treat the exact SKU—not the family label or an older A13U review—as the basis for a purchase decision, and seek independent results for the precise configuration if gaming performance or unplugged use is decisive.
MSI positions the broader C13W family as a lightweight, 15.6-inch entry-level gaming laptop for students, gamers and everyday users. Its overview also advertises different family-level maximum configurations, including conflicting top-GPU claims in separate sections; those broad claims should not be assigned to a specific C13WE model. The overview is manufacturer positioning, not an independent performance finding. MSI’s C13W overview provides that family-level description.
