Choose the Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls XPC if you want one complete yoke, a built-in switch panel, and clearly documented Xbox support. Choose the MOZA MFY when you specifically want a modular handle and are prepared to buy a separate AY90 or AY210 base. The MFY handle is not a standalone USB yoke, so its $129 price cannot be compared directly with the XPC’s $349.99 complete-unit price.
The practical decision is therefore between two different systems: Alpha XPC is an all-in-one, self-centering yoke, while MFY is the control shell for a configurable MOZA base—most notably the AY210, which adds native telemetry-driven force feedback.

What the MFY purchase includes
MFY is a yoke handle designed to attach to MOZA’s AY210 or AY90 yoke bases. MOZA’s support wording is explicit: “The MFY Yoke is designed for the MOZA AY210 and AY90 Yoke Bases.” The handle therefore cannot provide a complete control solution by itself. It needs the mechanical base for movement, sensing, mounting and—in the AY210 configuration—force feedback.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
This separation is useful if you expect to change handles, build a cockpit around a dedicated base, or add other MOZA controls later. It also changes the buying calculation. The relevant comparison is MFY plus a compatible base, mounting hardware and any required power or connection accessories, not MFY’s handle price alone.
What Alpha XPC includes
Alpha XPC is sold as a complete yoke and switch-panel unit. You do not select a separate motion base before it can be used. Its conventional aviation layout places engine, electrical and lighting controls beside the yoke, so a new user can operate common general-aviation functions without mapping every action to a keyboard or separate controller.
That integrated design is the reason Alpha XPC is easier to specify: there is one principal product, one mounting decision and one compatibility list. It is less adaptable than a modular handle-and-base ecosystem, but there are fewer opportunities to buy an unsuitable component.

What AY210 adds to MFY
The AY210 base is the force-feedback component in the MOZA system. Its support specification lists 9 N·m sustained roll torque and a 210 N maximum pitch force. It also lists ±90° roll, for 180° total rotation, and 150 mm of travel. Those figures describe the base, not an independent capability of the MFY handle.
Native telemetry feedback can let the simulator communicate aerodynamic or trim-related forces to the base rather than relying only on a spring or passive damper. The exact sensation depends on the simulator’s telemetry implementation, aircraft model and configuration. The official specifications do not establish a standardized smoothness, noise or realism ranking against Alpha XPC.

What Alpha XPC provides
Honeycomb specifies damped self-centering and Hall-effect sensors for Alpha XPC. The yoke rotates through 180° and returns toward center without a center detent. Hall-effect sensing avoids a conventional mechanical potentiometer contact path, while damping controls the return and resistance feel.
There is no force-feedback base specified for Alpha XPC. It is therefore the simpler choice when you want predictable self-centering resistance rather than telemetry-driven forces. If you fly aircraft that require changing control pressure or trim feel and that feedback is central to your experience, the AY210 is the relevant MOZA option; if you mainly want stable, repeatable yoke input, Alpha’s passive design is easier to understand and configure.

MFY’s programmable approach
MOZA lists up to 34 configurable signal outputs for MFY. The handle includes two Hall-effect joysticks, two 8-way switches and two triggers. This gives you many possible assignments for view control, trim, autopilot functions, radio actions or simulator-specific commands without adding another hand controller.
The benefit is flexibility rather than a single prescribed layout. You can map controls to match a particular aircraft or move between civilian and military-style profiles. The trade-off is setup time: you must decide what each input should do in your simulator and maintain those assignments when switching aircraft or software.
Alpha XPC’s aviation panel
Alpha XPC integrates an 8-way POV, rocker switches, push buttons, a push-to-talk control, master, alternator, avionics and light switches, plus a five-position ignition switch. These controls mirror the workflow of a light general-aviation cockpit.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
That arrangement is efficient for flight plans in which electrical, lighting and engine-start actions matter. It is less neutral than MFY’s programmable layout: you gain familiar labels and physical switches, but you have fewer opportunities to redesign the control scheme around an unusual aircraft or a different simulator.
Platform compatibility: the decisive Xbox question
Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S
Honeycomb explicitly lists Alpha XPC for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, in addition to PC and Mac. For an Xbox buyer, that published compatibility makes Alpha XPC the straightforward choice.
MOZA documents PC simulator support for the MFY ecosystem. The supplied specifications do not list Xbox support. Do not assume that a USB connection or a simulator’s generic controller support will make MFY work on console; verify current MOZA and simulator compatibility for your exact console and title before purchasing. If Xbox is a requirement and no current official MFY listing confirms it, Alpha XPC avoids that uncertainty.
PC and Mac
Both products can fit a computer-based simulator, but they target different expectations. MFY is aimed at a PC setup in which you are willing to configure a base and software profile. Alpha XPC is the more direct plug-in purchase for PC or Mac users who want a conventional yoke and dedicated panel.
Installation and setup planning
Setting up MFY with AY210 or AY90
- Select the base first. Choose AY210 if native telemetry force feedback and the documented torque and travel specification are priorities. Consider AY90 only after confirming that its current feature set, mounting method and feedback behavior meet your needs; the available specifications establish MFY compatibility but do not provide a full AY90 performance description.
- Check your mounting space. Allow room for the base, the handle’s 142.5 × 202 × 313 mm envelope and the yoke’s forward and lateral movement. The MFY handle is listed at 1.3 kg, before adding the base or any mounting structure.
- Attach the handle to the selected base. Use the base and handle’s supplied mechanical interface and tighten the mount securely. Do not treat the handle as a desk-ready standalone controller.
- Connect power and USB as required by the base. The base is the active motion and sensing hardware, so connect it according to MOZA’s current installation instructions rather than plugging the handle into a computer as an independent yoke.
- Install the current MOZA software and firmware. Check that the base and handle are detected before opening the simulator. Update only through the manufacturer’s current utility and record your previous settings if you are changing firmware.
- Calibrate in the simulator. Assign roll, pitch, joysticks, switches and triggers, then verify full travel, center position and any force-feedback strength or damping controls. Save a profile for each simulator or aircraft group you use.
Setting up Alpha XPC
- Confirm the platform. For Xbox, verify that your console model and simulator are among the currently supported combinations; Honeycomb’s product listing names Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S as supported platforms.
- Mount the complete unit. Place the yoke where the 180° rotation can be used without hitting a monitor, desk edge or other controls. Secure the unit before applying large inputs.
- Connect it to the platform. Use the supplied connection method for your computer or console and wait for the operating system or simulator to recognize the controller.
- Assign and test controls. Calibrate roll and pitch, then test the POV, rocker switches, push-to-talk, ignition positions and lighting or avionics controls. Check that a switch’s physical position matches the simulator’s indicated state before takeoff.
- Create a backup profile. Save your simulator control configuration so a game update or device reset does not force you to rebuild every assignment.
Desk space, mounting and ergonomics
The complete Alpha XPC layout occupies more horizontal cockpit space because its switch panel is part of the unit. That can be an advantage if you want frequently used aircraft controls under the same hand, but it requires a desk or cockpit wide enough to accommodate the panel and a clear yoke arc.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
MFY separates the handle from the base, so the final footprint depends on AY90 or AY210 mounting. This can make a custom cockpit easier to plan, especially when you want the yoke at a specific height or distance. It can also make a temporary desk setup more complicated because the base, handle, cabling and mounting surface must all be considered together.
Neither product’s published figures establish how quiet it is, how smoothly it moves under every simulator profile or how long its mechanisms will last. Those are hands-on characteristics that should not be inferred from torque, sensor type or price.
Price: compare the complete system, not the headline number
| Purchase path | Published USD figure | What that figure represents | What remains to be budgeted |
|---|---|---|---|
| MOZA MFY | $129 | MFY handle price on the current MOZA US store listing | AY90 or AY210 base, mounting and any required accessories |
| MOZA MFY + AY90 | Total not stated | Handle plus the lower-cost base option, if selected | Confirm current AY90 price and its feature set before ordering |
| MOZA MFY + AY210 | Total not stated | Handle plus the base that provides the documented native telemetry force feedback | Confirm current AY210 price, mounting and any shipping or regional taxes |
| Honeycomb Alpha XPC | $349.99 | Complete XPC yoke and switch-panel unit on the current Honeycomb product page | Usually only mounting or cockpit hardware, depending on your desk |
| Honeycomb original Alpha | $299.99 | Published price for the original Alpha listing | Check that the exact model has the platform support and features you require |
The MFY handle’s lower entry price is not a lower total system price unless you already own a compatible base. Conversely, Alpha XPC’s higher sticker price includes the yoke mechanism and switch panel in one unit. Regional taxes, shipping, currency conversion and stock can change the amount you actually pay, so confirm the local listing at checkout.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which one fits your use case?
Choose Alpha XPC when you want the simplest complete setup
- You fly on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S and want a product with explicit console support.
- You want a yoke, switch panel and common general-aviation controls in one purchase.
- You prefer damped self-centering with no center detent instead of force feedback.
- You would rather spend time flying than building and maintaining a modular control profile.
- Your desk or cockpit can accommodate the integrated panel and full yoke movement.
Choose MFY with AY210 when force feedback and expansion matter most
- You fly on PC and specifically want native telemetry-driven force feedback.
- You are willing to buy, mount and configure a separate base.
- You want to change handles or create a broader MOZA control ecosystem over time.
- You value up to 34 configurable outputs and a programmable layout more than fixed aviation labels.

Ordering MFY without a compatible base
MFY is designed for AY210 and AY90. If your plan does not include one of those bases, stop and revise the order. The handle alone is not a usable USB yoke.
Assuming force feedback comes from the handle
In the MOZA arrangement, AY210 supplies the native telemetry force feedback. An MFY handle attached to a different base should not be described as an AY210-equivalent setup.
Assuming PC documentation guarantees Xbox operation
MOZA’s documented platform support is PC-focused, while Honeycomb explicitly names Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for Alpha XPC. Console buyers should require a current official compatibility statement for the exact product and simulator.
Ignoring switch-state synchronization
Physical toggles can be in a different position from the simulator after loading a flight or reconnecting the device. Before departure, move or reassign the affected switch so the physical and on-screen states agree, particularly for ignition, avionics, master and lighting controls.
Expecting specifications to answer subjective questions
Torque, travel, sensor type and input counts do not prove that one unit is quieter, smoother, more reliable or easier to use. No controlled head-to-head test, long-term failure-rate dataset or standardized software-usability measurement is established here. Treat those characteristics as open questions requiring independent hands-on evidence.
A practical decision checklist
- Platform: If Xbox is required, start with Alpha XPC’s explicitly listed support. For PC, continue to the next checks.
- System type: Decide whether you want a complete unit now or a handle-and-base system you can expand.
- Feedback: Select AY210 only if native telemetry force feedback is a primary reason to choose MOZA; otherwise compare the total cost and mounting effort against Alpha’s passive feel.
- Controls: Choose MFY for a highly configurable input set, or Alpha for a labeled general-aviation panel with dedicated switches.
- Budget: Compare the complete MOZA package—including base and mounting—with Alpha XPC’s all-in-one price.
- Space: Measure the desk or cockpit for either the modular base and handle movement or Alpha’s integrated panel before ordering.
- Availability: Recheck the regional listing, stock and current price because the published figures can change.
For most buyers seeking a dependable first yoke, Alpha XPC is the lower-friction purchase: it is complete, has a conventional self-centering feel and lists PC, Mac and Xbox compatibility. MFY is the better fit when the reason for buying is specifically a modular MOZA setup and AY210 force feedback, not simply the lowest handle price.
