A Motorola FCC record and a September 2026 community report point to new Motorola wireless earphones, but neither confirms that the product will be sold as “moto buds Ultra.” Motorola has not announced an Ultra-branded earbud, and there is no verified release date, price, specification sheet or list of launch markets.
What the leak actually shows
The strongest public evidence is an FCC equipment record for Motorola Mobility wireless earphones identified by FCC ID IHDT6AB2 and model T6AB2. The record lists a latest application date of March 12, 2026. An FCC filing indicates that a device is being evaluated for regulatory compliance; it does not, by itself, confirm a retail name, launch event or commercial availability.
A September 11, 2026 post in the r/motorola community described Motorola Mobility FCC authorization activity involving wireless earphones. That report is a tip about regulatory activity, not an official product announcement. Neither the community post nor the FCC entry connects model T6AB2 with the “Ultra” name.

Why “Ultra” remains a rumor
Motorola’s official CES 2026 accessory announcement names four products: moto sound flow, moto watch, moto pen ultra and moto tag 2. The announcement does not mention Ultra earbuds. Its wording is: “At CES 2026, the brand introduces the new moto sound flow, moto watch, moto pen ultra and moto tag 2 into the family, offering users new ways to interact with their technology.”

That omission does not prove that earbuds will not appear later. It does mean the “Ultra” retail identity is unverified. The FCC model could eventually receive a different name, be released only in selected markets, or never reach stores.
What Motorola already sells
Motorola’s existing true-wireless range includes moto buds+ and moto buds pro, both referenced in a Motorola promotion document. Those confirmed products provide context, but they do not establish the specifications or positioning of T6AB2.

Is there an FCC filing for new Motorola earbuds?
Yes. FCC ID IHDT6AB2 identifies Motorola Mobility wireless earphones under model T6AB2. The filing is the clearest primary record currently available, but regulatory paperwork normally covers technical authorization rather than consumer launch details. Readers should treat “Motorola wireless earbuds” as the supported description until Motorola assigns and announces a retail model.
When could Motorola moto buds Ultra launch?
No confirmed launch date is available. The FCC record’s March 12 application date and the September 11 community report show activity during 2026, but neither date is a shipping promise. Motorola could announce the earphones at a later product event, introduce them quietly through regional channels, or decline to release them. Any retailer listing that supplies a date before Motorola confirms it should be considered provisional.

- Dynamic Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): Reduces background noise for a more immersive listening experience.
- Deep Bass Sound: Tuned drivers deliver powerful bass and clear audio for music, calls, and media.
- Triple Microphone Array: Enhances voice clarity and reduces ambient noise during calls.
- Bluetooth 5.3 Connectivity: Provides a fast, stable wireless connection with compatible devices.
- IP54 Water & Dust Resistance: Designed to handle sweat, splashes, and everyday use.
What might the earbuds include?
No reliable source establishes Ultra-specific hardware or software. There are currently no confirmed figures for battery or case endurance, active-noise-cancellation modes, transparency or ambient sound, Bluetooth version, supported codecs, microphones, wireless charging, water resistance, companion-app features, device compatibility or warranty.
Those are the practical specifications to check if Motorola announces the model. Comparisons with moto buds+ and moto buds pro should use confirmed regional datasheets rather than assuming that an “Ultra” label means a higher specification.

How much will the new earbuds cost?
No price has been confirmed for T6AB2 or any product called moto buds Ultra. Pricing may vary by country, taxes, retailer and launch promotion, so an unverified leak price should not be treated as official. Motorola’s existing earbud prices cannot be used to calculate the new model’s price without an announced position in the range.

- An official Motorola newsroom or product page naming the earbuds and model number.
- A regional certification or retailer listing that matches T6AB2, rather than merely using a similar product name.
- Published specifications covering codecs, connectivity, noise control, battery ratings and water resistance.
- Official pricing, release timing, supported countries and warranty terms.
Until those details appear, the defensible conclusion is limited: Motorola appears to have regulatory activity for a new pair of wireless earphones, while the “Ultra” name and a commercial launch remain unconfirmed.
