How the displays differ

The inner screens are close in size: Motorola lists 8.09 inches and Samsung 8.0 inches. Their stated resolutions and panel technologies differ, but those numbers alone do not establish which looks better in person. Both list up to 120 Hz on the main display; Samsung specifies an adaptive 1–120 Hz range.

Battery, charging and weight

On paper, the Razr Fold has the larger battery: 6,000 mAh versus Samsung’s 5,000 mAh typical capacity (4,854 mAh rated). Motorola also lists 80 W wired, 50 W wireless and 5 W reverse wireless charging, while Samsung lists 45 W fast charging. Charging performance in practice can depend on the charger, settings and conditions, and these published values do not show which phone lasts longer or charges faster in a controlled comparison.

The Samsung is listed at 215 g, 28 g less than the Razr Fold’s 243 g. That published weight difference may matter if you carry a phone all day, but it does not establish how either device feels in hand.

These specifications describe different camera configurations; megapixel counts do not establish which phone produces better photos. No independent model-to-model camera test is established by the cited sources.

Which foldable should you choose?

Consider the Motorola Razr Fold if

  • You value the larger stated battery and higher listed charging power, while recognizing that real-world endurance and charging need comparable testing.
  • You want a cover display with a higher published maximum refresh rate.
  • You prefer the listed 50 MP periscope telephoto configuration or want the Moto Pen Ultra included in the US package; confirm contents in your region.

Consider the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra if

  • You prioritize the lower published weight.
  • You want a 200 MP main camera, while understanding that megapixels alone do not prove better image quality.
  • You prefer Samsung’s stated adaptive 1–120 Hz display behavior or its regional purchase and service options.

Before deciding, compare the exact local storage version and final price, check warranty and service coverage where you live, and weigh camera needs, carrying comfort, battery priorities and software preferences. The listed specifications clarify trade-offs; they do not establish a universal winner in performance, durability or day-to-day use.
