The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra is the higher-spec option, with a faster listed processor, larger and faster-refreshing screens, higher-resolution cameras, and quicker charging. The standard Razr 60 costs less: in Motorola’s Japan store snapshot observed in 2026, its displayed sale price was ¥99,801 versus ¥199,800 for the Ultra—a ¥99,999 difference. Because the Razr 60 price was a limited-time promotion, treat that gap as a dated snapshot, not a permanent price difference.

The figures below are from Motorola’s official Japan product listings. They describe listed hardware, not independently measured performance, image quality, battery life, or durability. Both listings show Android 15; Motorola notes that production batches may ship with newer software.

For context only, Motorola’s 2025 US launch announcement gave historical launch MSRPs of $699.99 for the device called razr and $1,299.99 for razr ultra. Those are launch figures, not current US prices, and regional naming, SKUs, and prices should not be assumed to match Japan.

What does the Ultra upgrade change in everyday use?

Processor and memory

The Japan listings move from a MediaTek Dimensity 7400X and 12GB of RAM on the Razr 60 to a Snapdragon 8 Elite and 16GB on the Ultra. Both list 512GB of internal storage. That is a clear hardware step-up on paper, but the listed specifications do not establish a particular speed advantage in apps, games, or multitasking; no independent benchmark results are available here.

Displays

The Ultra’s inner screen is 7.0 inches and rated up to 165Hz, compared with 6.9 inches and up to 120Hz on the Razr 60. Its cover screen is also larger and has a higher listed refresh rate: 4.0 inches and up to 165Hz versus 3.6 inches and up to 90Hz. If you expect to use the phone while folded or value the highest listed refresh rates, these are among the Ultra’s most visible specification differences.

Cameras

Both models list a 50MP main rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). The Ultra raises the ultrawide-plus-macro camera from 13MP to 50MP and the front camera from 32MP to 50MP. Resolution alone does not prove better photos or video: image quality depends on more than megapixels, and these specifications do not substitute for comparative camera testing.

Which model should you choose?

Choose the Razr 60 if the lower price matters most

The Razr 60 is the budget-conscious choice between these two listings. It still has 512GB storage, a 50MP stabilized main camera, a 6.9-inch 120Hz inner screen, and IP48 protection. It makes sense if those specifications meet your needs and you do not want to pay extra for the Ultra’s listed processor, displays, camera resolutions, and charging ratings.

Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 | Unlocked | Made for US 16/512GB | 50MP Camera | Pantone Orient Blue
  • Universal unlocked: Compatible with all major U.S. carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and other prepaid carriers.

Consider the Razr 60 Ultra if its specific upgrades justify the premium

The Ultra is the spec-focused option for buyers who value its larger, faster-refreshing cover and main displays, Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, additional RAM, 50MP ultrawide and selfie cameras, or higher charging ratings. Whether those upgrades are worth the difference depends on the current price in your market and which features you will use; the specifications alone cannot establish the value of real-world performance or camera improvements.

Check these details before buying

  • Market and exact model: Motorola’s 2025 US announcement uses “razr” and “razr ultra,” while its Japan pages use “razr 60” and “razr 60 ultra.” Confirm the SKU rather than relying on the name alone. Motorola’s 2025 launch announcement identifies the US naming and launch context.
  • Network compatibility: Verify the exact model’s supported network bands with your carrier. Regional SKUs and bands are not interchangeable by assumption.
  • Warranty and stock: Confirm local warranty coverage, seller terms, and availability. Motorola’s Japan Ultra listing warns that manufacturer stock is limited and order confirmation may fail.
  • Included accessories: The Japan Razr 60 listing says an AC adapter and USB cable are not included. Check the listing for the precise version you are purchasing.
  • Price at checkout: The Japan Razr 60 figure above is promotional, and neither price should be treated as permanent or available in another country.
