Which display is better?
Choose based on what matters more to you: image detail and panel type, or screen size and maximum refresh rate. The Edge 70’s pOLED resolution is substantially higher than the realme 16T’s listed HD+ LCD resolution, which favors finer detail. The realme has the larger display and a higher stated refresh-rate ceiling, which may appeal if you prioritize screen area and supported high-refresh content.
Refresh rate alone does not determine overall display quality, and a higher maximum rate does not mean every app or activity runs at that rate. The cited specifications do not establish brightness, color accuracy, or real-world viewing quality, so those points cannot be settled by this comparison.

The listed hardware places the phones in different specification tiers: Motorola names a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM, while realme lists a Dimensity 6300 with 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM. Those model names and memory specifications are useful for comparing configurations, but they are not a substitute for comparable independent benchmark testing or evidence about performance in a particular game or workload.
Storage is clearer for buyers who need room for apps, photos, and offline media: Motorola lists 512 GB, while the cited realme Philippines specification lists 128 GB or 256 GB. Confirm the exact local SKU and whether storage expansion is supported before purchasing; the cited specifications do not establish expansion support.
Battery capacity and charging
realme advertises an 8,000 mAh typical battery and 45 W charging on its India product page. Its Philippines specifications also state an 8,000 mAh typical capacity. Motorola lists a 4,800 mAh battery, 68 W wired charging, and 15 W wireless charging on its US support page. These are manufacturer-listed capacities and charging specifications, not comparable battery-life test results.

A larger capacity does not by itself prove longer runtime: screen, chipset, software, signal conditions, and usage all affect endurance. realme’s India page includes battery-life and usage claims, but it also provides test-method and usage caveats; those claims should not be treated as an independent head-to-head result. The practical distinction supported here is capacity versus charging options: realme lists the larger battery, while Motorola lists faster wired charging and wireless charging.
Camera specifications: what is established
The regional information does not provide a fully matched camera comparison. realme’s India page promotes a 50 MP Sony IMX852 main camera, while its Philippines specification page lists a 50 MP rear camera and a 16 MP front camera. Motorola’s cited US page lists a 50 MP front camera. A comparison-site listing reports a 50 MP main and 50 MP ultrawide rear setup for the Edge 70, but that rear-camera configuration is not established here by a cited official Motorola specification page. Megapixel counts alone also do not establish which phone takes better photos.
Build and durability claims
The listed weight and thickness make the physical difference pronounced: Motorola’s US specifications give the Edge 70 as 159 g and 5.99 mm, while realme’s Philippines listing gives the 16T as 224 g and 8.88 mm. If you often carry a phone in a pocket or prefer a lighter handset, those figures favor the Motorola listing.

Both manufacturers publish water, dust, or durability ratings and claims, but these do not mean either phone is damage-proof. The ratings and claims cited are from different regional pages; check the documentation for the exact model sold in your market and follow its care and warranty terms.
What is the price difference?
The available price snapshots do not establish a dependable current price gap. A 91mobiles comparison page, crawled shortly before October 7, 2026, showed Amazon snapshots of ₹31,699 for the Edge 70 and ₹28,999 for the realme 16T—a ₹2,700 difference in that particular display. The page has inconsistent comparison contexts and variants, so those figures should not be read as a verified, configuration-matched offer (91mobiles comparison).
Separately, the realme Store India comparison listing, accessed October 7, 2026, displayed ₹30,999 as an offer price beside ₹50,999. That display does not by itself establish what each price represents or whether it is live for the configuration you want. Prices, stock, seller, and discounts can change.

For a meaningful comparison, check the same market, RAM/storage configuration, seller, and date on both listings, then compare the checkout price and warranty. Do not assume the displayed snapshots show equivalent versions or a guaranteed transaction price.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the Motorola Edge 70 if you prioritize
- A higher-resolution pOLED display.
- A lighter, thinner listed design.
- The cited listing’s 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage.

Choose the realme 16T 5G if you prioritize
