Choose the Nothing Phone 4a if you want a dedicated periscope zoom camera and the larger battery listed for its India configuration. Choose the Motorola Edge 70 if a thinner, lighter phone, faster wired charging, wireless charging and higher stated ingress-protection ratings matter more. Prices and some specifications vary by market and retailer, so compare the exact Indian SKU and current offer before deciding.
India prices and storage options
The launch prices reported by Gadgets 360 on 5 March 2026 are not the same as later retailer listings. Treat them as dated snapshots, not guaranteed current prices.

These are reported specifications, not independent test results. Peak-brightness figures describe stated maximums, not a measured brightness comparison in everyday use. Motorola’s official support records list different Edge 70 configurations: one describes 12GB/512GB with a 4,800mAh battery, while another lists 8GB/256GB with a 5,000mAh battery. Motorola says specifications may vary by market. Confirm the regional model before relying on a specification or software promise.

What the camera differences mean
Nothing Phone 4a: a dedicated zoom camera
The Phone 4a’s most distinctive listed camera is its 50MP periscope telephoto with optical stabilisation; Nothing’s product page also describes a three-camera system and up to 70x Ultra Zoom. That makes it the more relevant option on paper if you often want to frame distant subjects. A stated zoom ceiling does not tell you how much detail remains at that range, and sensor resolution alone cannot establish which phone takes better photos.
Motorola Edge 70: high-resolution front and ultrawide cameras
The compared Edge 70 configuration lists 50MP main and ultrawide rear cameras plus a 50MP front camera. That front-camera resolution is higher than the 4a’s listed 32MP, but it does not prove better selfies or video calls. Image quality depends on more than megapixels; there is no controlled camera test in the cited comparison to declare an overall winner.

Battery, charging and everyday carry
For the India comparison, Nothing is listed with a 5,400mAh battery and 50W wired charging; Motorola is listed with 5,000mAh, 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Gadgets 360 attributes an approximately 64-minute 1%-to-100% charge time to Nothing and up to 31 hours of continuous video playback to Motorola. Those are source-reported figures, not a controlled, like-for-like battery test, and Motorola’s separate 4,800mAh support-record variant is a reminder to check the exact model.
On the listed physical dimensions, Motorola is substantially thinner and lighter. Its IP68/IP69 ratings are also higher than the Nothing phone’s IP64 rating in the comparison. These ratings describe protection classifications, not immunity to damage: neither rating means a phone is indestructible, and they do not remove the need to follow each manufacturer’s care guidance.

Which phone should you buy?
Pick Nothing Phone 4a if
- You want a dedicated periscope camera and prefer the flexibility of a stated long-range zoom option.
- You value the larger battery capacity listed for the compared India configuration.
- You prefer Nothing OS and its reported update schedule.
Pick Motorola Edge 70 if
- You want a noticeably thinner, lighter handset based on the reported dimensions.
- You value higher stated wired-charging wattage and 15W wireless charging.
- You prioritise the IP68/IP69 ratings listed for the compared India configuration.
There is no defensible overall winner from these specification listings alone for camera quality, battery life or performance. Make the final value call using current prices for the same storage tier, and confirm the precise regional configuration before checkout.
