The Motorola Edge 60 Pro has the stronger listed hardware package for display resolution, camera range, battery capacity and charging. The Samsung Galaxy A27 5G’s clearest advantage is its longer stated software-support commitment. There is no verified like-for-like price gap here: Samsung US lists the 128GB A27 at $379.99, but a current Edge 60 Pro price from the same market and sales channel is not established.

Motorola Edge 60 Pro vs Galaxy A27 5G: key specifications

Which phone has the better display?

Both models list 120Hz refresh rates, but the panels differ. Motorola specifies a 6.7-inch curved pOLED display with 2712 × 1220 resolution and HDR10+. Samsung lists a 120Hz FHD+ Super AMOLED panel at 1080 × 2340. On those specifications, the Edge 60 Pro has the higher resolution and a curved design; the A27 has a flat, full-rectangle screen. The listings do not establish which looks better in real-world viewing.

Which has the better cameras?

The Edge 60 Pro has the more varied listed rear-camera system, including a dedicated 10MP telephoto camera with 3× optical zoom and OIS, alongside a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 50MP ultrawide/macro camera. The A27’s India listing specifies a 50MP OIS wide camera, 5MP ultrawide and 2MP macro camera, with up to 10× digital zoom.

Optical zoom uses a dedicated telephoto lens; digital zoom crops or processes an image. That makes the Motorola’s listed 3× optical zoom a more concrete hardware advantage for distant subjects. It does not, by itself, prove better overall photo quality: the cited specifications do not include a controlled camera comparison, and megapixel counts alone cannot determine image results.

Battery and charging: capacity is not the same as battery life

Motorola lists a 6000mAh battery, 90W wired charging, 15W wireless charging and 5W wired power sharing. Samsung lists a 5000mAh typical battery and says the A27 can deliver up to 23 hours of video playback and reach up to 45% charge in 30 minutes. Its India page describes charging as “Super Fast Charging” without specifying a wattage in the cited details.

The Edge 60 Pro therefore leads on stated capacity and charging options, including wireless charging. Battery capacity and charging ratings do not establish how long either phone lasts under a particular person’s use; no controlled, side-by-side battery test is available in the cited material. Samsung’s playback figure is a manufacturer claim, not a direct comparison with Motorola.

Which phone has longer software support?

Samsung states that the Galaxy A27 5G will receive up to six OS upgrades and up to six years of security and maintenance releases on its India product page. Motorola’s US support page lists three OS upgrades and four years of security maintenance releases for the Edge 60 Pro.

On those stated commitments, Samsung offers the longer support window. The wording and market references differ, and Samsung qualifies its commitment as “up to”; support timing and availability can vary by model and market. Check the commitment attached to the exact regional SKU before buying.

What is the price difference?

A precise price difference cannot be calculated from the available listings because they do not provide current prices for both phones in the same market, currency, storage tier and sales channel. Samsung US listed the Galaxy A27 5G 128GB in Black at $379.99 when checked on October 7, 2026; the price and stock may change. The cited Motorola US page is a specification page, not a current sales listing.

For a fair comparison, check local listings for the exact storage configurations you would buy, then compare the same currency and type of seller. Do not treat the US A27 price as a global price or compare it with a Motorola offer from another country or storage tier. Samsung’s US listing is at Samsung US.

Which should you choose?

Choose the Motorola Edge 60 Pro if

  • You want the higher listed battery capacity and faster, more varied charging options, including wireless charging.
  • You prefer a higher-resolution curved display.
  • A dedicated telephoto lens with 3× optical zoom is more useful to you than the A27’s listed camera arrangement.
  • You value the listed IP68/IP69 protection and MIL-STD-810H certification.

Choose the Samsung Galaxy A27 5G if

  • Your priority is Samsung’s stated support commitment of up to six OS upgrades and up to six years of security and maintenance releases for the India listing.
  • You prefer a flat FHD+ Super AMOLED screen.
  • You want the microSD expansion option listed for the cited India SKU, which supports cards up to 2TB through a hybrid SIM/microSD slot.
  • You are evaluating the 128GB model at Samsung US’s listed price, while recognizing that it cannot establish a price gap without a matching Motorola offer.

Before ordering either phone, confirm the exact regional model, storage and memory configuration, network bands, charging capabilities and support terms. Manufacturer specifications and features can vary by market.
