The moto g96 5G is the better fit for a sharper, high-refresh display and a stabilized main camera. The moto g37 power 5G is built around a much larger battery and expandable storage, but it has a lower-resolution LCD. There is no reliable, like-for-like current price comparison in the available figures, and the G37 Power’s listed chipset differs between Motorola regional support pages.

The specifications below come from Motorola listings for different markets, not a controlled comparison. Motorola notes that specifications can vary by market, so treat regional features as a guide and check the exact local model before buying.

Which phone has the better display?
The G96 has the more detailed display: its 2400 × 1080 pOLED panel has substantially higher resolution than the G37 Power’s 1604 × 720 LCD. Both screens are listed at 6.67 inches, while the G96 supports refresh rates up to 144Hz and the G37 Power up to 120Hz. The refresh-rate figures are maximum specifications; they do not by themselves establish how smooth every app will look or how long the battery will last.

Which has the stronger camera setup?
The G96 has the more fully specified rear-camera system in the cited listings: a 50MP Sony Lytia 700C main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), plus an 8MP ultrawide camera. Motorola’s G37 Power marketing identifies a 50MP main camera, but the cited sources do not establish a matching regional configuration or image-quality comparison. On the published specifications, the G96 is the clearer choice if OIS or an ultrawide camera matters to you.
Battery life and charging: capacity is not a runtime test
The G37 Power has the larger stated capacity: Motorola Spain lists 7,000mAh, while one support source gives 6,790mAh as rated capacity. Motorola Spain claims up to 78 hours of use on one charge; that is a manufacturer marketing claim, not an independent comparative battery test. The G96 is listed with a 5,500mAh battery and 33W charging, compared with the G37 Power’s 30W charging. A larger capacity can make the G37 Power appealing for endurance, but these figures alone do not establish how either phone performs in a particular person’s use.

Storage flexibility
The G37 Power has an advantage if you want room to add storage later: cited regional specifications list microSD expansion up to 1TB. The G96’s listed 128GB and 256GB capacities are not expandable, so choose a storage tier that fits your needs at purchase.

Motorola India lists an IP68 rating for the G96. A regional G37 Power support listing reports IP64, MIL-STD-810H and Gorilla Glass 7i. These are market-specific listings; check the exact device’s official specifications rather than assuming the same protection applies everywhere.

Connectivity and included configuration
Features such as NFC, headphone jack, SIM setup, network bands and included accessories can differ by market or SKU. The cited G37 Power regional listings may include NFC and a 3.5mm jack, while those features are not listed in the cited G96 India specifications. Check local bands, warranty coverage and the precise RAM and storage configuration before ordering.
What is the price difference?
The cited prices do not establish a current, like-for-like difference. Motorola’s India launch announcement set the G96 5G’s starting price at ₹17,999 on July 10, 2025. A Motorola India storefront page displayed the G37 Power at ₹19,999 against an MRP of ₹26,499 in 2026. The first is a historical launch price; the second is a volatile storefront offer, and the evidence does not provide a same-date G96 price or matched configurations. Do not subtract these figures to infer which is currently cheaper.

For a useful comparison, check both phones in the same country on the same day, matching storage tier, warranty and seller terms. The cited listings are Motorola’s 2025 India launch announcement and Motorola India’s moto g family storefront.

Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the moto g96 5G if you prioritize a sharper pOLED screen, higher listed maximum refresh rate, OIS-equipped main camera, ultrawide camera or the IP68 rating listed for India.
- Choose the moto g37 power 5G if battery capacity and microSD expansion matter more to you, and an HD+ LCD meets your expectations.
- Verify the local model first if the chipset, NFC, headphone jack, network bands, SIM arrangement or protection rating could affect your decision. Motorola’s G37 Power chipset listings conflict across regions, so the model name alone is not enough to confirm its processor.
Neither listing establishes independent comparative benchmark results or independently measured battery life. Treat the specifications as manufacturer-listed details, not proof of real-world speed, photo quality or endurance.
